Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

I believe I got The World ending? was the crystal palace one. kinda mad they hard locked me into turning love interest down. if I could've said yes I would've had no issues with ending.
It does make me wonder how they'll follow up the story in future expansions/sequels. So many endings to cover.

The Crystal Palace is my bet for one of the expansions. River, Mayor, and Sandra all have a relation in some way to Mr. Blue Eyes who gives us the Crystal Palace heist in that ending.

if you can stomach 4chan autist have tracked the dots in this thread. https://archive.is/bmXLK

After playing through the game twice, my biggest complaint is that the UI designer doesnt know how to code a global shutoff trigger. I'll get UI elements like item previews or text or the driving UI just kind of "stick" because i moused over too fast or something. Lot of times its an easy fix, but ive had it happen with subtitles and audio cues, too. Thats...not the kind of error you get from cutting content, thats a "we rushed this fucker out the door as fast as we could" or at least a "yeah, we hired a dozen poo in the loos from that coder mill the university of calcutta to do all the work" issue.

I didn’t realize until recently that the side jobs titles were song titles. I wonder how the dlc and patches will improve the game by putting features that were cut into the game.

well i finally beat the game. hitting the road with panam and the aldecaldos. my thoughts on the game? it was alright actually. buggy as hell? yes. broken as fuck? yes. but it was enjoyable nonetheless

I just wanted to say that I did download the illegal torrented version of this game the first week that it came out. I played probably 3-6 hours and then never touched it again. I uninstalled it last week after not wanting to load it up again.

You couldn't even pay me to play this crap. Well... unless the pay was good enough then I would probably do it.

CDPR is not having a good new year

Poland's version of consumer protection agency is investigating them over the state of the console version.

If found guilty of having mislead or not keeping their promise of releasing patches they could be fine up to 10% of their annual earnings. Oof.

Also we're back!

THEY HAVE NAZI DOGWHISTLES
okay maybe I'm weird and don't immediately jump to Nazi when I see an arm extended but...

this is really zoomed in but looking at it I really don't think its a salute

Either it is this:

which sorta looks like it could be the salute

Or its this:

And its some sort of weird positioning of his hand. If that's the case its weird because his thumb looks to be on the wrong side or something else weird is happening. If it is the second one it makes his hand and wrist fairly thin, and I might be getting tricked by the background which the other shape I highlighted might be.

In the case of his pose to me it presents what he is: the fool. His exaggerated walk implies excitement and naivety at the adventure he is about to embark on. It makes him look fresh- rather than restrained/and closing inward he is throwing himself outward wholeheartedly. The straight legs also help to express how he does not realize he is walking off a cliff. I think if it were to be expressed in an actual animation to show the movement it would be 'bouncing' rather than stiff.

also, left hand. the thumb is just due to the art and size.

And the chances are the console version is unfixable for last gen versions because the hardware is too obsolete to handle the magnitude of fidelity the game sports. This is beyond shooting yourself in the foot at this point. Is there even a phrase that’s strong enough to describe this?

I don't think its impossible, I mean they got Witcher 3 on the Switch. I just think for the Last gens to get it they need to be completely done with the game to downgrade it the best they can.

Got friends who've stopped playing the game because they feel it's unfinished, and they don't want to continue playing until the blatant issues have been solved. But I think they'll have to wait indefinitely then, a lot of the problems are clearly rooted in the foundation of the game.
The shitty police system isn't the way it is because a developer couldn't be assed, it's broken fundamentally. you can't have a wanted system when there's no pursuit AI, you can't have the AI pursuing you if there's no driving AI, there can't be a driving AI if you can't get NPCs to avoid obstacles and calcualte dynamic routes.
It will take a hercuelean effort to try and correct the blatant issues in this game.

Was reading the reddit commits about this ( I know, I know) and big thing that is driving is the Polish Gov gave CDPR 7 million to make sone advanced AI...... and we've all seen how dogshit the AI is. The Pol really did want to become a new tech hub and this is just making them look like a laughing stock.

Like the Nation of Poland formally presented Barack Obama with copy of The Witcher 2. The Polish Government was all in with the CDPR to be the corner stone of their next new 20th century industry and they just completely shit the bed. I really hope some vindicative Polish govies bring the hammer down at this point, especially as I found out how much money they gave CDPR (And that was just the public money).

So, we have come to this - The most anticipated game release of the year - forgotten in a week.Patetyczny.
I literally have not heard much about this game after a week. I live in Poland and most of my friends are circlejerking about how CDPR and Witcher 3 are the best things to ever exist, and yet even they are mixed about this game.

I think I'm coming around on Cyberpunk. I stopped playing it and basically considered it to be a steaming shitpile but now that I'm doing more of the story missions and not trying to play it like it's GTA 5 I think it's a pretty good game at its core, just pretty rough around the edges. There's talk of a new game + option in an upcoming patch/DLC and I think I'd play it a second time after they fix all the bugs to get the proper experience.
