There will be heterosexual romance options and prostitutes in the game, so I wouldn't be too worried about this.

The temptation to make a chick with a dick character really is strong, because that's hilarious.

hahaha wouldn't it be funny if i made a futa
hahaha wouldn't it be funny if it had a massive dong just for laughs haha

There's no 3rd person so its kind of sad if the character creator is super detailed, but you never have a 3rd person mode.

3rd person only people are skum.

Besides, we already saw that all the cut scenes are in 3rd person.

The third person thing is really really confusing to me. They keep touting an expansive character creation and gear/outfit system both of which are totally useless in first person perspective. RPGS generally aren't played in first person because a huge part of the experience is finding cool loot and seeing it on your character. They've done polls of Fallout/TES players and something like 90% play in third person.

Why they didn't go with third person plus a Mass effect over the shoulder for combat I'll never know.

I'll still probably buy it but there are some very odd decisions being made with this game.

Because first person is far better than that stupid over the shoulder shot.

To some degree it makes sense because in pen and paper RPGs you "are" that character, it isn't like Geralt in Witcher where we're playing an already established character, the characters we create are supposed to be "us" in this world so it makes sense that we would see through "our own eyes"

You have miniatures in pen and paper rpgs.

Another delay

Now out November 19, supposedly. We'll see. I thought last thing they said was it wouldn't be delayed and would be out in September.
My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

This game is getting to a point where no matter how good it is, it will feel underwhelming how long we had to wait.

Hmmmm. Slightly walloped, but I'm still optimistic. I suspect that Corona-chan might have made things a bit harder than otherwise expected. That's the most obvious reason. I know they were attempting to have everyone work from home and so forth. And W3 was delayed twice without the Chinese Batclap to contend with.

It was at that right from the outset to be fair. Witcher 3 would be such a tough act to follow it kind of doomed anything they followed it with.

the game is totally unplayable on current hardware and at their event they will ditch this generation and annpunce it as ps5-xbox xx and pc only. it wont be out this year
"but guys the game is ready trust us" my ass

This is the only thing gaming-related that I looked forward to in 2020, so of course it would get fucked like everything else this year.

Knew it was coming. Kinda gay it happened 91 days from "release" just like last delay.

Was calling a second delay back in January tho and I highly doubt this thing will release this year at all. Realistically spring 2021 at the soonest.

That whole e3 reveal is looking less breathtaking and more cringe-inducing.

I suspect that they are delaying this until the release of the new consoles in early 2021 so they can sell the game as a launch title, which is stupid since they could release the PC version now, and the current gen console versions now, and then release upgraded versions of the game for the new consoles when they come out. I'm still optimistic, but getting kinda pissed off, I pre-ordered this game thinking I would have been playing it by now.

Probably. I suspect that given the 2018 demo was running on a fully loaded octa-core CPU and GTX 1080 Ti, they've probably found that despite optimisation they can't make it an acceptable performer on PS4 or Xbone without either turning it down to potato mode or stripping out half the features.

I also suspect there's probably some truth in their bugfixes thing. Given the game is said to be even bigger than W3 and more tightly interlinked narratively, and given Corona-chan, they probably are behind with testing. W3 was remarkably bug-free on PC for such a sprawlingly large game.

Still, gives me another couple months to rebuild my system.

Have they released system requirements yet? Seems a bit silly to do any upgrades until you know what you should be aiming for.

Not yet, but W3's requirements were pretty meaty for 2015 with minimum requirements firmly above middle of the road and recommended requirements not too far off top of the range (workstation / HEDT platforms notwithstanding) for the time. When the Nvidia GTX 970 came out (which I had), they had W3 as a pack-in game with it for a while in the middle of 2015. I suspect that maxing it at 4K will require a similarly chunksome setup.

Meh, I'm okay with running games at 1080p, so 4k doesn't mean shit to me personally.
