I think this is honestly one of the biggest mistakes CDPR made. The entire montage at the beginning of the game of learning to be a merc with Jackie would have been more fun to experience as a player as well as made Jackie and even more impactful character.

I've made no secrets that I actually really love CP2077 as a game, its one of my favorites, but I think gimping the story because spergs don't finish games was a terrible misstep.

Maybe have CP2077 be the one year timeskip, no johnny silverOhand, or maybe meeting him as a construct that isn't in your brain. Like slowly uncovering corpo shit until you figure out the horror that is soulkiller, with help from magic gigantic cock keanu chungus man via Borderland's Angel shit - with a stinger that goes on about "chip compatibility going 100%" over the plot.

Then the sequel comes out and we have this, now we have an excuse for why thee chip is somehow working on you, wee have a reason why arasaka specifically screwed you over, and now we have an excuse for why silverhand is pissed. Because again, his fuckups got one of his friends killed. Again.

And for the love of fuck have an unbeatable smasher fight in 1, and THEN have him as a bonus boss in 2. Which you only fight on the "suicide" run, and even then, hes worse than he was in 1, or edgerunners, or anywhere else.
