Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

Idris Elba's character being a cartoonishly good guy white knight took me out of the experience a little. He is pure lawful good which is not very Cyberpunk.
Pure lawful good? Lawful yes, he has principles, most of which revolve around serving Myers/the NUSA to the exclusion of everything else.
Other than that the character is portrayed as a deeply sociopathic glowie and pretty much the only reason he and Alex don't try to make V take a dirt nap at the earliest possibility like the Cassel twins, Slider or the two DT residents you can bargain with at the safehouse is the impromptu invitation to the Super Secret Spy Kids Club given by Myers. He also belittles V a bunch of times, even after you went 5 on 1 against MaxTac or just turned a platoon of SpecOps guys with air support into dog chow. Absolutely Placide-tier, very hateable character.

but Songbird is still framed as being the right choice despite having no redeeming qualities at all.
She's still a sympathetic character on some level because she's a mirror of V in vastly worse circumstances. Coerced into joining the FIA, fitted with near Smasher-like levels of argumentation and forced to do the equivalent of skinny dipping for treasure in a lake full of crocodiles at the behest of her employer.
And unlike V, she doesn't have people like Vik, Panam or Rogue in her corner: She has "colleagues" who'll sell her out on a dime.
Depending on how you play it, V is probably the first person who is genuinely nice and loyal to her.
She's also at her nadir and completely helpless when she finally fesses up at the spaceport, so combined with the Konpecki parallelisms it's a test.

Cynosure is pre-Krash.
It's meant to be a concurrent event I think, they built the facility under Sakas nose and were trying to harness the Rogue AIs/RABIDS as a countermeasure against Soulkiller while the Old Net was going to pieces.

Not really, no spy is, the only lawful aspect of him is his ridiculous loyalty.

He is basically a more brutal Takumura but without the sympathetic backstory.

Remember nUSA is pretty much a facade of the Miltech megacorporation, I cannot see why he'd remain loyal to it, even when they ordered a hit on him.
I still sided with him against Songbird though, as she was quite brazen about her plan to kill any bystander around when she escaped*. Sedating and arresting her seemed like the least bad choice.
In the end I ended up euthanising her, as who knows what monsters Roslyn would make her unleash.

*I tried to minimise all non-scav casualties unless I knew they were evil. Corpo V has lived through being trapped in an immoral job. It was surprisingly easy on Normal, the cheap overheat quickhack is non lethal, body blows with blunts and gorilla fists are non-lethal and there's always takedowns or sneaking past with optical camouflage. The game is Cyberpunk 2077 not Cyberpsycho 999
This is funny and Idris' accent slipping is pretty blatant.

This guy can fuck off with his Shadowrun hate.
The things I like on shadow run is innumerable but the biggest thing is that it justifies the whole “you can’t fight the corpos” shit.

Because they’re all immortal dragons that are literal leylines to magic and while they’re all mostly pieces of shit, they’re the better alternative to everyone exploding from magic overload. And it’s not like all of them are dicks. It’s just that they’re literally of a different species and thus has different viewpoints. Like a weird need to hoard gold.

It’s why this game gets some props from me for NUSA, after all if everyone can be a scumbag corpo with believable goals, someone was bound to have altruistic motives eventually. It’s like monkies and shakespeare. But if some marine can magically become a corpo ceo/potus that kinda screws the whole “you can’t fight corpos” shit.

I like how the Companions in Shadowrun: Hong Kong are two orcs, a ghoul and a Somali pirate who lives on a ship.

You're forgetting about the supremely based autistic Russian living in your basement.
If you exclude all the fantasy elements of shadow run, the lore by itself is fascinating and feels cyberpunk (broken societies, bitter quarrels, etc)
The fantasy elements also add to the overall Cyberpunk feeling of things being absolutely fucked by adding an extra element in how utterly fucked things are. It's probably one of the few settings that gets modern fantasy right: magic isn't just a thing that exists but shapes the world. It adds an extra facet to every aspect of life and even to the tabletop play. Criminal how we have so much Harry Potter "Magic ACKSHULLY exists but no one knows shit about it and it may as well not."

How do you know about the autistic Russian I keep trapped in my basement?

Yorinobu Arasaka is arguably the biggest enemy of the Arasaka corporation.

Other than tranny flag and ukranigger removal, are there any gameplay improving mods for Cyberpunk? Last playthrough I've missed half of V's iconic gun collection weapons just because the locations become unavailable after gigs or due to a weird bug (Buzzsaw plans vanish from loot table if the guy holding them pulls out his mantis blades, thus making the stealth archer the only viable build in the game).

Phantom Liberty actually has a merchant who sells most Iconics, namely those you could miss on the way. He even sells a pistol only a Corpo V can normally get. As for mods... it doesn't look like they have been updated for 2.0.

I know of him, but he only has actual weapons, not plans, and only weapons you forgot to pick up, not those that you missed because of your choices (which I suppose is logical in some way). For example, if you send Jackie's body to Vik, you will miss on Jackie's gun even though the quest is done and not failed. If you don't help the tranny, you will miss on his car and iirc on the Cthulhu car of the guy troon wanted to kill.

The same merchant that sells firearms that shouldn't have been available for other V paths, can't sell guns you've missed because you took the logical choices.

Looks like you'll have to learn the console command IDs then. Sorry I couldn't help you out on your collection troubles.

Nah, it's fine. Funnily enough, I have that mod installed because a bunch of quest triggers are fucked up in 2.01, because someone retarded at CDPR decided that you should wait days in game to get a call from some cunt to get a quest.

Some of the sound mixing for dialoge seems to be weird or outright buggy e.g. when telling Panam in the Aldecaldo camp about the FIA her lines sound like a call despite being next to her.
I think some of the voice acting was done through skype lmao. Panam doesn't have any dialogue in the new ending almost like they couldn't get her actress in for another session. The voicing with Jago is unacceptable. It's probably some random developer with a cheap voice changer. Took me right out of the game it's supposed to be a serious quest then you have that clown like wtf happened lmao

I'm playing it with jap audio, it helps a lot. I hate nigger accents and the french nigger voodoo camp, at least with Japanese I can pretend it's a neo-tokyo or some other cool cyberpunk setting, and since I don't understand what they're saying anyway, it all sounds natural. Male V also sounds less like a cocksure asshole. There are places where phone audio version plays when you're standing next to an NPC who's speaking to you, so it has to be a bug. 2.0 and 2.01 are severely bugged, for example entire perk system you level through actions doesn't grant you bonuses on game reload, and as I've learned just a moment ago, crafted iconic weapons don't go on the stash wall if you've crafted them in 2.0 (those crafted in 1.6 save that got imported to 2.0 do). Game should be playable in a couple of months, good thing I haven't paid for it.

Custom Quickslots - so you can use multiple cyberware and grenades without having them all mapped to the middle mouse button.
Unequip and reuse weapon mods
Fix Skill progression
Takedown Counter: Good to see how many you avoided killing.
Stealth Expanded

And for the mods you should NEVER install: Claire Nude mod with selectable penis size.:mad::mad:
Biosculpted Exotics, for all you furfag needs

I'm using the Chinese audio, and most of the voices fit the character. Except for Jackie, who sounds like an old man.

That happened in a few quests for me in 2.0 and 2.01. The fix as early as 1.05 or 1.06 that fixed a a bunch of quests still works for me: travel to the furthest out Badlands markers and wait there. I think the bugs are still related to old issues and not new quest flags from my experience.

imo it's just bad game design. You end up with nothing to do for in-game days due to how those quest triggers are constructed. Waiting sometimes won't work - for example, the quest with corpse of Rache Bartmoss should start immediately once you pick up and read a data shard during one of gigs (which I had done). It hadn't. Secondary trigger was doing a gig for Nix and waiting (which I had done later as well). It also had done nothing - I did entirety of PL in the meantime (which involved fast traveling and waiting) and the cunt still hadn't called.

The bugs are caused by something retarded and engine related, iirc. It's like the new "you are being hacked" prompt that just keeps randomly appearing while driving. You have to just force yourself outside the range of any AI to get it to stop, so a fast travel to the Badlands again. It's all jank.
