The default V dude looks awesome, though, dumb braying about HURRDURR ANOTHER WHITE GUY PROTAG. Clearly a designer put their thought and effort into him and he's absolutely perfect for the setting. I'm not gonna touch him in the creator.

Seriously, I would venture to say that Anita Sarkeesian's involvement in any vidya or other cultural product will be the kiss of critical and commercial failure. Ditto Zoe Quinn. Speaking of whom, wasn't she planning some sort of adventure game collaboration with Chuck Tingle (another non-entity who still doesn't realise there's only so many permutations on "pounded in the butt" you can indulge in before it ceases to be funny altogether.)

Add into that that Ninty and Microsoft are basically ending their own Console War between each other with the partnership announcement and integration of Multiplayer aspects of games that the platforms share. They smell blood in the water with Sony's increasingly bizarre and unpopular censorship and decisions and realised that going in for the kill in unison was a far smarter strategy than fighting the war on two fronts.

Yes, and Tingle distanced himself from the whole project when he realised what a fucking scam artist Quinn was. Not that he wasn't warned clear as a fucking bell for months on end. Quinn's taken the money and fucking legged it.

Scamseesian is in the same cloth. She couldn't raise $400k to wobble in front of a green screen again and I doubt CDPR's going to care too much for the time being. They've got Reeves on side, and good PR for the mainstream normies to give a fuck about thanks to the "You're Breathtaking" stunt and the guy's own response to being offered $250 worth of stuff by asking it be donated to charity instead.

Screaming Troons and scam artists aren't going to hurt their bottom line as they've have never payed for any copy anyway.

Hmmmm. He only acknowledged Witcher 3 in passing and never spoke of it again because he wanted to take a stand against crunch. It wouldn't surprise me if he just pretended CP77 didn't exist.
 
I'm not paying attention too closely to things because if I did I think I'd just stroke out, but it seems like the response from Joe and Jane Q. Average Gamer is an (importantly) loud, "we don't care, game looks good, give us a good game". I'm optimistic as fuck but if this is the title that makes people start ignoring Twitter and ~90% of games journalism then seven years in development would be worth it.

People don't read Twitter though. Like day to day I have never once in my entire life dealing with thousands of people ever even heard, in casual conversation "Oh did you see on twitter.....?"

Nobody. Fucking. Cares.

Family, friends and Streamers are more likely influencers than any "professional" grievance monger on twitter or gaming journalist.
