Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

This happening is going to reset the entire discussion about every little controversy isn't it? Well, have fun talking about it all over again i guess.
It's ok if you like the game before it's even out or playable by non-shills, but you have to realize that as CDPR is getting bigger, they're also slowly making the same mistakes that other AAA studios do.

par for the course for CDPR, Witcher 3 was delayed for over a year and had all sorts of fuckery going on behind the scenes (downgrades, Red Kit, "inhumane crunch"), there's bound to be some internal post-launch drama over there as well.

as for my cope, it's 21 extra days which means i'll get to finish Yakuza 0 in peace.

This is the silver lining in my "hope for the best, expect the worst" mentality. Other delays have been by several months, this is 3 weeks. Extra polish and bug fixing time. Still doubt it will reach the unrealistic expectations of fans, but I hope it will be fun. As long as I have fun doing shit, then its all good. I haven't dropped ridiculous money on this in pre orders, so if it's complete ass, nothing lost.

Would be nice to have some solid evidence to back this up, im frustrated because every time somebody claims to have some solid dirt on cdpr its always weak trash that is easily disproven/explained, the crunch shit being the prime example. I guess well see, for now ill just let you guys grieve in piece and spam whatever you want.
The most frustrating thing about the internet for me is that nobody researches shit anymore, they just take feelings for proof of whatever they want to think. I can barely even laugh at lolcows because almost everything spoken is baseless trash. This and the endless repetition caused by it.
Sorry for the rant, stuff just gets to me sometimes.

This is fairly standard practice, nothing special about it. They do this for every major metro hospital because it's good training.
You're not really arguing against the point that our urban centers are war-torn hellholes that need cops ready to respond with M4's and armored vans.

Seems like CDPR wants to duke it out with SquareEnix in the ring for most delays to a game possible.
Getting No Mans Sky vibes here, this is why I never pre order games. Well, might as well get it as a Christmas present, assuming it doesn't delay again and it isn't complete ass.
You'll still get a holiday gift if it's a pile of shit though: Enjoying the salt of people who had their expectations stoked too high.

hey're also slowly making the same mistakes that other AAA studios do.
this is my concern, this is the same trap Bethesda and BioWare fell in, a complacent shit-sucking fandom that excuses every shitty decision you make with zero room for accountability, they'll just start peddling out shit knowing their core base will eat it up while simultaneously defending the product from people who are more critical.

you already see it happening right now with these broken promises regarding delays and features in the leadup to this release, it'll be miracle of CDPR manages to squeeze out another good game or two before they turn into another Ubisoft.

If this is the case, wouldn't that mean that Cyberpunk is in a worse state than release Fallout 76?

I don't think anybody here preordered and there still bummed. same for people who will pirate it.
There is no "solution" because this isn't our problem.
Generally speaking of course. It's an industry wide problem. Hell, there are idiots who take time off for the first day of WoW expansions just to sit in queues all day to play a laggy buggy mess for an hour before they get kicked out.

Never understood how/why people drop hundreds of dollars on some super special edition of a game Pre release, like they did with Fallout 76 and the canvas bags. Nigga, there is better shit you can spend 200-300 bucks on, that's about half a PS5.

Then again, we live in a world where people throw money away on only fans and hundreds of dollars on DSP Superchats. What a weird world we live in.

The only solution is for people to stop giving these companies any money until they have a final product. Nobody ever learns, no matter how many different times get get burned.

Stop pre-ordering!

I never have nor ever will pre-order a video game. I usually wait months until after a game releases to buy it now.

CDPR's Facebook page is full of people reeeeeing about how they took a week off work around November 19 to play this and how they're so bent out of shape about this that they're cancelling their pre-order.

These people are failures at life. Taking time off work to play a new vidya is an inexcusable level of consoomerism.

About the delay, yes, I'm a bit crushed but it's a frickin' vidya. At least now I might actually have my RTX 3080 before it comes out.

I do think that this is probably going to hurt CDPR in the long run though. It's getting to the point at which the game could make your PC hop off the desk and give you a gold star blowjibber complete with a pokey bum prostate massage and people will still be upset because they were "promised" a DVDA double spitroast with downhill skiing.

Yeah, there is going to be a fuckton of irrational anger on release, this shit might influence scores since journos are just thermometers of public opinion.

Manchildren dont operatr on the same logic normal people do.
