Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

Cyberpunk 2077 Devs Comment on Multiplayer, Bugs, Season Pass, & More (A)
CD Projekt RED hosted a financial conference call (transcribed by Seeking Alpha) with several interesting snippets of information about Cyberpunk 2077 and its future.
During the Q&A session of the conference, CEO Adam Kiciński talked about the level of internal satisfaction for the quality for the game.
He mentioned that while CD Projekt is satisfied, they want to hear impressions from outside the company when the game launches. He also added that reviews will be published before release (which was confirmed later in the call)
“It’s tricky to share our impressions before reviews and before gamers are able to play the game. Well, we are satisfied. But we are never fully satisfied and don’t get me wrong. It’s not like we are not sure, but let’s wait just 15 days. Let’s wait again even let’s because reviews will be published earlier. So, let’s wait for the external judgment. And then everything will be clear.”
Speaking about the multiplayer release set in the same universe, we hear that CD Project plans to “share their thoughts” on it in Q1 next year.
Kiciński also reiterated that the multiplayer won’t be a mode, but a standalone product.
“So, first, we don’t call it modes. It’s a separate dedicated production, a big production. And we plan — we think about it as a standalone product. Obviously, it’s not entirely standalone as it comes from the universe of Cyberpunk and is very much related to the concept of single-player Cyberpunk we — I came up with.
But from our perspective, it’s — is another independent production and independent team of people works on it. And there’s — I said already we are not focusing right now on talking too much about other future products, products that are to be released after Cyberpunk. So please be with us in the first quarter of next year when we plan to share some strategy update. And I believe Cyberpunk multiplayer will be possible.”
He also commented on the fact that the latest preview code distributed to media had bugs, promising that the version players will get at release will be better.
“So, in terms of bugs, we are all aware of them. Of course, such a big gang can’t be just bug free. That’s the kind of obvious, but we believe that the level will be as low as to let gamers not see them. And fortunately, some bugs extended previous were caused by some general — I would say general features and many of them are already fixed. So, what gamers will get will be different from what — and what we viewers will get in this final review is it’s better than what previewers, got.”
We then hear about pre-orders, which are “visibly higher than anything shipped” before with The Witcher.
“We are really happy about the preorder level right now is visibly higher than anything we had shipped on The Witcher and it keeps increasing at the expected pace comparing to The Witcher sales, historically. So, from just perspective, everything goes according to the plan and the results are really good.”
Interestingly, Kiciński added later in the call that pre-orders canceled due to the delays were “marginal.”
Last, but not least, he confirmed that the original plan was to start selling a season pass before the release of Cyberpunk 2077. Yet, after the latest delay, it was “decided to decided to wait for the release to provide gamers with the game and then start talking about future projects.”

Nothing fills me with confidence like a single player game that has a multiplayer mode crammed in for the purpose of creating an ongoing revenue stream. Oh and season passes.

Looks like I'm waiting another two+ years for the Ultimate Director's Cut DX version with the Chao Garden enhancements included.
Off topic but wasn't sonic adventure dx worse and i mean EXTREMELY worse than the original i would recommend cybershell video on sonic adventure dx

There was an episode of Game Grumps that summed up my feelings on the Sonic Adventure games really well. Just watch this clip for about a minute and enjoy an internet classic before its soul was ripped out and replaced with a faggot:

It's the only time I've ever agreed with Arin about anything.

I never played but always heard ME3 mp was really fun.
The story was a trashfire, but yeah the MP was good fun.

Wave based 4 player co-op-y thing against hordes of enemies. A couple different classes and all that jazz. Had some proto-lootbox stuff to steal more money from people but you didnt need to buy anything to have fun.

First, the MP mode is actually completely separate, as originally stated.

They're outright stating that it isn't part of the main SP game here, and view it as an entirely separate product that will release at a later date. That is quite different from how EA shoe-horned MP into the ME games. Secondly, and this is the major thing... looks like they're not going to have a release-day embargo, which shows they're confident enough about it not being a piece of shit.

Not sure how soon before release, but that is something at least.

Also, these are the guys who have made what is arguably the least terrible TCG, Gwent, and Thronebreaker was also not terrible, so I'm not too worried about tie-ins being shit.

In all honesty, if they bring the MP back in their remaster and they don't fuck up the class/weapons balance, I'd buy it just for that. I assume if they did they'd bloat the loot tables, but if the balance doesn't change it doesn't matter that much, the Human Adept class is perfectly capable of running Golds once you level it up and it's available right out of the box. ME3MP was a happy accident, but a great one. Andromeda's wasn't bad once they fixed it, but that lasted about a month before EA polluted the loot pool with too much shit.

CP2077's probably won't be terrible, but I don't know if it'll be particularly great. I've never been impressed by the game play of their games.

Bioware said Remastered ME3 won't have multiplayer.

Which is....just great cause there are only two things that people talk about ME3:

1. How bad the ending was
2. How great the multiplayer was.

And there is no way Bioware is gonna be able to fix the ME3 ending.

To everyone that never played ME3 Multiplayer: It was a 4 person multi-wave horde mode (with about 3 to 4 different "races" of horde enemies) that had different random objectives every 3 rounds with a final stand for for the escape shuttle at the end. What made it great is that there was a TON of thought and care put into, the classes were extremely varied, weapon and mode choice actually mattered, and towards the end the developers just got weird with everything. It was amazing Bioware got lucky on something so good and then completely fucked it up in ME:A.

Like if Bioware wasn't full of fart smelling idiots the ME3 Multiplayer could have been farmed out and expanded to be something like a ME Warframe-type game.

I still don't understand why a story based rpg has a multiplayer mode or even how the hell that's even going to work.
They saw how much money GTA online made and still makes today. The more they talk about it the more it seems like it will be a GTA online knockoff. GTA online is "separate" from GTA5 sp but reuses the map and many of the story characters; I expect something similar from this.

The fun fact is, that ME3MP still has a sizeable playerbase. At least, last I checked you could still get a full lobby quickly for any levels of the matches. I have no idea if the same can be said about the Andromeda MP.
