Why a crack is needed on a game that will be released on GoG is beyond me, but someone humored it and found it needs a password
View attachment 1764325
To get the password you have to do a survey that requires a credit card
View attachment 1764332

As of writing this post they're stuck on this wall unless that anon finds out how to do fake credit card information, but it looks like your typical survey scam that even when you punch in your info it'll just loop back at this screen
I sure hope it's a hoax, CODEX cracks suck ass. You can't run them in Wine, so Linux users are basically left out!

I hate apple and their minimalism that all other companies want to be, but going to the oposite extreme where you can't tell if this is cyberpunk 2077 or WoW is just as fucking bad, there's a reason any WoW player worth their salt have to put on a thousand UI modifiers to play properly and that reason is shit UI design, and no amount of 4k ULTRA HD 4080p resolution atomic powered LED screen is gonna save your game from looking like the windows XP pipe screensaver

The worst part is that you can do a cool UI using an "augmented reality" theme, but they do this shit instead. The ammo count could be a hologram on the gun itself and health bars can be floating above the enemies. The rest of the shit on the UI is just bloat in the largest font size possible.

Think of Skyrim. That game had idiotically simplistic combat and levelling systems, numerous technical flaws and a stupid story, but as a coherent whole it worked pretty alright and it has decent replayability
Mods.
Without them, Bethesda Game Studios games would be forgotten after a month.

the fact that Journalist are loosing their jobs due to random youtube/twitch influencers puts a smile on my face, those random influencer don't even know anything about gamergate or care about it, its entirely due to "gaming journalist" just being outdated and outdone by random nobodies that got an internet following
Same. Hope this shit continues. The fact that E3 and GDC didn't happen this year only really pushes the zombie profession of "gaming journalism" further down into the grave it's trying to claw its way out of.
I'm a billion times more okay with Twitch whores like Pokimane getting cyberpunk over some literallywho at Kotaku "reviewing" it while bitching about how it doesn't have enough trannies.

When most people think about Ghost in the Shell they think about the 1995 movie just because of how striking it was
But to be honest 90% of the franchise isn't like this at all
Yeah, I like the movie but I prefer Stand Alone Complex (I didn't watch the Netflix crap). The second movie (Innocence) was way too pretentious.

Sometimes I forget they made a hollywood movie in 2017, but it probably just gets forgotten because it went the cyberpunk 2077 route of just putting neon lights everywhere and people wearing silly costumes

When at least personally what drew me into the world of the 1995 movie was the clash between the old and new world.

The original manga was dog shit. The two Oshii films are fantastic. Stand Alone Complex is really good with the 2nd GIG being even better and closely approaching the existentialism of the Oshii films. After that it kind of went to shit although, the live action movie was okay.

You're way too pretentious.

GITS 1 and 2 were like this. SAC was more like the Japanese version of CSI. It kept the artsy stuff more contained in its dialogue and characters instead of its visuals.
From what I see, a lot of people have more of a surface level love for GITS 1995 because cool animation + big robot + NAKED ARTSY CYBORG WOMAN!, as opposed to SAC's humanization of the characters, especially with the Tachikomas. Though SAC had that advantage due to having 40some episodes.

My favorite part throughout all of Innocence was Batou just being a little cheeky bastard the entire way through.

There is no live action GITS movie. There was never a live action GITS movie. Live action GITS doesn't exist.

That really doesn't explain much. Like alright is Fallout call of duty like? You got the simple shooter elements but also VATS, which is unique to the game. But you can go through the game either without touching it or using it exclusively. How about DOOM 2016/Infernal? The point-your-gun-and-click aspect is the same but the style of play is different. Mass Effect? Depending on the game you either have heavy cover mechanics or rechargeable weapons, in addition to a handful of abilities that can change your gameplay. Bioshock? Gunplay is basically the same, but you also have abilities that basically just act like fancy guns.

"Make a game not like X" without saying how they should do it is a good starting point for a conversation but doesn't really mean anything if your explanation is the same as the starting point.

The hallmarks of the CoD inspired cover shooter are linear levels with highly scripted sequences, regenerating health and one main enemy type, you can see all of that in the gameplay footage they've shown. They're bad because the gameplay usually has 0 depth since they're more focused on feeling like you're watching a movie over making the gameplay engaging.

Stand Alone Complex is amazing. It is also the origin of the phrase 'Stand Alone Complex'. I mean, the series founded a concept and a word into usage, which is pretty amazing in and of itself. So it has had a huge cultural impact. GitS is classic. Netflix deserves to be culled for the blasphemy of making it CG.

Oh god you're absolutely right, that just clicked with me. It just comes off as a generic shooter/rpg interface, and it doesn't stand out at all. I absolutely hate the "single healthbar in the top of the screen" for non-boss enemies, as it only tracks a single enemy at a time.

The first season is fine. Hit and miss. Second season is fucking amazing.

By that logic the Witcher 3 was a CoD inspired shooter. How do you avoid these issues?

I've literally never heard the phrase "Stand Alone Complex" be used for anything other than the show.

Thank you for using the gender neutral term "Folks", but you should say "Folx" because fuck english I guess?

Seriously, why folx, I don't get it.
Reminder to pirate Cyberpunk because they legitimately, purposefully uggofied FemV.
I don't buy PC games and don't have a next gen console, so it's the only way.
"We don't trust influencers because we didn't get it first" is all I see from this retard. The gamer gate tweet is just icing on the cake lol.
You don't even need to make your own sex scenes, you just make your game easily moddable and wait for modders to do their thing. That's how Bethesda still sells games and some of those sex mods are scary in depth and elaborate. I'm sure there's some vanilla ones among those, I mean there have to be, right?
There are. Some of them are just simple texture raplacements so the girls are more attractive, while others give new custom animatioms and a bunch of other shit. I do the texture mods, but looked at what else they do, and it gets ridiculous.
