Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

inb4 CD projekt red realized they spent all their budget on advertisements and trailers than the actual game.
There was leaked footage of someone running around in free roam killing random npcs, and he escaped cops after 10 seconds. The cars handle like shit, it looked like you were driving a truck with how other cars would go under you or over you, and they haven't fixed the ghosting affect with the katana.

It was even obvious the cars handled like they were on rails in trailer footage. I don't know how you can make driving worse in this game than it was in some of the Just Cause titles, but somehow they did.

Given that description, it sounds like the handling physics manage to be even worse than in The Crew games.

To be honest even though The Crew's driving is super floaty, it still looks semi-real when the cars aren't slamming into walls. Even at it's best the driving in Cyberpunk doesn't look real in the slightest. Turns are as sharp as the banks of a roller coaster.

People like to shit on CDPR's marketing, but they seem to understand the shift away from gaming journo sites top youtubers and streamers. They've spent the last couple years buttering up everyone from "marketable" influencers to rando youtube critics. Things have only gone to shit in the last few months, though thats the fault of the higher ups/devs more than it is the people who cultivated the hype.

The UI looks terrible, really hope you can disable the unnecessary text popups and tooltips.

What I've seen from the leaks doesn't look totally different from this "work in progress" footage, but everything they've added has made it worse. Maybe they thought extra handholding was necessary for a wider audience

I don't get why Red thinks that this kind of gameplay fits an open world game. If I was expecting COD, I would buy a game for this kind of section, but it absolutely does not make sense here.

That's what happens when retards over hype a game to the point the devs make something that's supposed to appeal to literally everyone.

Sit back and enjoy the Eldritch abomination of COD/Deus Ex/Mass Effect/Assassin's Creed this shitshow will turn out to be.

>turret segment
I am looking forward to this game, but God damn...
More than that, in that scene, we're the only ones in the sky, right?

There's a lot of times when the people (not the actual immortal turrets) are doing nothing related to the helicopter - pointing in the wrong direction, standing with no cover, leaving their spots in cover to run around... yet they don't seem to be shooting the one threat that's actually there?

To say nothing of the long, awkward pause at the end of the video as the various guys shoot each other with no effect, making it clear this is just a scripted segment you can't lose.

I hope he just spouts out hack shit.

Of course they'd have him in it. Why wouldn't they?
It's just a grab bag of crap from the internet, isn't it? Keanu, Kojima, twitch streamers...
Most likely included him in when they saw this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zgyrk20yVS0 sounds weird but Kojima doesn't break my immersion, since I'm so used to seeing him in MGS games as his own character, but twitch streamers? I'm killing them on sight then sending them the picture of the aftermath on twitter.

Don't hurt yourself like that, man. Don't get your hopes even that high. You and I both know they won't let players do that.
Although, if mods come out that let us do that it'd be great.

Never know. For all we're seeing and saying about this game, Cyberpunk 2077 could end up being the Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines of this generation, a game rescued, fixed and made great by the coding/modding community.
