Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

In the past i've tried to get refunds for videogames from Sony (particularly Twisted Metal on ps3), and it was impossible. The waiting times suck, they're rude and ultimately they have a very strict policy against it. Even Microsoft and Nintendo have been far more generous in that regard when I've reached out to them, letting me actually get refunds.

The fact Sony is just letting people do this when their regular policy is so insurmountable is absolutely hilarious to me, the absolute state of Cyberpunk 2077 :story:

I think Sony (and Microsoft, but I don't know if they've been pushing back or not) has to take action here.

Like I've said before, it's not like these games don't go through a certification/approval process. Sony itself is probably complicit in any legal action simply because they licensed it.

CDPR refund poll.PNG

So like 2300 refund requests incoming from that poll alone. Eh, it's only $138,000.

Pretty sure WB did something like this with Arkham Knight on PC, if I remember correctly.

Honestly, what was the point of even releasing it if you were going to pull this off a week later?

What a fucking shitshow.
This, pretty much. I remember reading that the whole reason behind their last delay was to have some time to get the game certified by both Microsoft and Sony, ensuring that it met their playability standards.

So much for that. :stress:

PS4 players be like:

According to their conference call transcript and whatnot, those standards were up to management, and Sony/Microsoft just certified it. If what you're saying is true instead, then Sony and Microsoft are also culpable in this. Or, they both are regardless for even allowing this product to be released.

Game theory: Maybe they where mad about CDPR saying that people could ask for refunds if they wanted without consulting Sony first?

"Fine. You want refunds? We're refunding everyone."
If that's what's going on here, then OOF.

They're not fucking around... Sony going scorched earth on them Poles sends a very loud message to the rest of the game developers.

Sony/Microsoft should learn a valuable lesson from this. Don't accept pre orders until they KNOW the fucking game is done and in a playable state.

They should have took one look at Cyberpunk on their systems and told those poles to get their shit together if they expected them to not only allow this on their systems, but to sell it on their storefront.s

Instead they've been taking pre orders for god knows how long and it's starting to look that there is absolutely zero oversight when it comes to AAA games being put on their networks.

They 1000% need to honor refunds for even allowing this shit to be downloaded.
