Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

Dumb but understandable. Shame. It is embarrassing. But I hope they can patch it up. Maybe once they get a working version they can rerelease it.

Tbh the outrage feels very sjw. I recall Skyrim and Fallout New Vegas having tons of glitches and shit when they were first released. But I also feel many expected Witcher 3 level quality....except they're totally separate entities.
I mean, people should be able to refund it, the game is broken as fuck on PS4 and Xbox One. It's just that Sony's only doing this because they have a shitty refund policy and the only way they can offer full refunds is if they go scorched earth and remove it entirely.

This image will never stop being relevant.

Was it worth it, Marcin?

Tell everyone with a straight face, especially the investors crawling up your ass at this very moment, "yes, it was worth it".

Why for this game of everything that's ever released on PlayStation?

Yes Cyberpunk sucks cock on last gen consoles, but I don't really get the impression it's much worse than something like Half Life 2's infamous PS3 port. Honestly its removal's kind of dumb if it's just Sony being a crybaby over a shitty refund policy.

New Vegas was glitched as shit, I remember when I played it it would without fail would crash after enough time.

But everyone still loved it, including me.

I bought both Fallout 3 and New Vegas on release. They were buggy and did crash a lot, but you could still play them with some tweaking.
From what I'm hearing, the PS4/Xbone versions are quire literally unplayable (sub 10-15 fps) in a lot of segments.

On console... there's really nothing you can do about that beyond getting your money back.

New Vegas on release was fucked up at launch not because of performance but because of seriously bad script bugs, and as a result all versions were affected. I can't exactly enjoy an RPG when a bunch of quests don't work. It took a couple weeks for them to iron out the worst issues, from what I remember. I think a better example would be Skyrim on PS3 because it had the expected quest bugs, awful performance and constant crashes.

Maybe "on release" was an overstatement. I guess it was more like "within the month", so most of the major stuff might have been ironed out by the time I got it.

Regardless, the problems that cyberpunk has definitely cannot be fixed in a few weeks.

Unrelated, but that was one of the most fucked up quests in the game. Probably more fucked up than the Evelyn quest.

I guess it depends if people who want to play it but refunded it consider it fixed when the performance issues are gone, or when things like the AI issues are gone. It's also all up to when, or if I guess, Sony decides to relist it.

New Vegas had content that was worth suffering through bugs for.

If you manage to get through the bugs and glitches with Cyberpunk all you're rewarded with is some okay-ish writing and quests. If the game were phenomenal but buggy I don't think the backlash would be nearly as big as it currently is. This game is the unfortunate combination of both buggy and disappointing.

The game is pretty good on PC. Shame for console fags, but such is life for plebes. They dont get to play good stuff that is meant for true patricians.

Jokes aside, I am pretty bummed for people playing this on console. I am using PC with Core 9 and GTX graphics card with an xboxone emulation controller. It's really a good game, even at 30 FPS and Medium Settings. Very atmospheric, constantly getting side tracked to look at various nooks and crannies. They really should have just thrown in the towel on getting this to work on PS4 and Xbone and just released on PC, PS5 and Series X. Yeah it would have irritated the fuck out of people, but not to the extent releasing onto a system that could not handle the load could.

It was pretty hard to get to that content in New Vegas when bugs would lock entire quests and questlines off, at least in my experience. There was also always the guarantee that for gameplay systems that were disappointing in New Vegas, you could mod them to better since it was a Bethesda engine game. People have always been more accepting of Bethesda games constantly launching in unacceptable states for that reason. It's why Fallout 76 was a shitstorm on the level of this shitstorm. You couldn't mod out the stupid decisions Bethesda made.
