Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

There's less cut content in Final Fantasy 15 than there is in Cyberpunk.
Fallout 4 best cut content thing was not having Dogmeat and another companion in the same party, unlike as FO3 & F:NV.
Why? Because one of the devs can't have "time" to fix a bug with Creation Engine involving that problem.
The best part? A fucking mod restores that.
Probably we gonna have mods like "Cyberpunk's Cutting Room Floor" mod or something in the years of come.

I don't think it's possible to fix this with mods. Setting aside the fact that the Redkit is not the creation kit there's not even a basic foundation to work with here with. A good example is npc ai, outside of story npcs most stand in one place and stare into space or follow very simple forward motions on pre scriped pathing. Non story/enemy npcs cannot turn around, walk backwards, or interact with the environment.

You can't mod something that doesn't even exist in the first place. Same thing with 3rd person cutscenes. Glitches have revealed that V's character model isn't animated and lacks skeleton rigging. Modding in a third person camera isn't possible because lacking animations/rigging the model would just T pose.

Has there been a game that was hyped for a length this long that actually came out good?

FFXV, and Last Guardian are the only two I remember having a pretty long wait and they just came out meh.
Team Fortress 2 and Star Craft 2 maybe. Both were in development for like a decade. While I really don't like the story direction and art style of SC2, I never hear anybody really complain about the core gameplay. And TF2 is TF2. Not even Valve ignoring the game for years could kill it.

In one point both of these games felt like "nah, they will never even be real", now they are old.

Shoutout to the customer support people at Sony who get to deal with this shit right before Christmas rolls around.
Meanwhile, Life of Black Tiger is still purchasable on the Playstation Store.
The new COD game was bricking and crashing both PS4s and PS5s and not a peep about refunds. Sony was really pissed at CDPR.

There's a decent chance this could get worse too. Australia and European countries have much stronger consumer protection laws than the U.S and some eurofag anons are saying the amount of cut content and disparity between the trailers and final product likely meets the requirements for fraud in their countries.
Which game was it that they went after in Euro and Aussieland again? I think it was FO76 for the absolute state it was in as well as shit customer service/inconsistent refund policies. I wouldn't be surprised if a lawsuit is filed.

Now we're entering delicious times of pain and misery.
I absolutely live for these kind of shitstorms.

We'll see how CD Projekt responds over the coming months.
I'm skeptical much will be improved other than performance patches.
As others have said, it takes such investment to create AI that it's probably not worth it on this categorically radioactive title.

Props to whomever started the multi page flame war derailment.

Sony offering refunds is a pure self preservation tactic, they have no interest in being associated with this shitshow. Plus they'll get enough flak when noun squad brings down their services for Christmas.

In my friend group the same people who like this game so far also enjoyed the latest installments of Assassins Creed, so it'll probably be a pass for me.View attachment KY_5Lo26uwMiYlQ6giciGgnDHrNmJxXDUHFXLAzBgAs.webp

I'd have to say Dying Light 2. Rumor has it they almost completely scrapped the dev build and re wrote nearly the whole story to erase any trace of Chris Avellone after he got #metooed.
I hope not. At this juncture Techland is one of the only good game developers left.

8 years since conception and how many delays nigga?
Not only that, but the timeframe is also important. From my experience - if you delay your product 3 times in 3 months:
a) your customers are going to be rightfully pissed
b) you can kiss your reputation goodbye.

I'm really curious how point b) is going to develop, given that we are talking about the gamers' darling company*.

* At least darling until now and trannies and resetera fags notwithstanding.

According to their conference call transcript and whatnot, those standards were up to management, and Sony/Microsoft just certified it. If what you're saying is true instead, then Sony and Microsoft are also culpable in this. Or, they both are regardless for even allowing this product to be released.

Yea they knew about the bugs in testing at MS/Sony and then they just gave waivers for the egregious stuff. AAA games get so many fucking waivers it's insane, and my experience was over a decade ago so I can only imagine it's gotten worse over time. Especially since games in general release in such broken states these days.
