Why not use the tor bundle instead? It's at least as secure as any free VPN you will find. And as long as you don't sell tons of crack online or produce / trade CP nobody is coming for you.

Some sites restrict TOR content or make you do those stupid captulas. I noticed at least on Opera VPN, that happens a lot less. If I can use Windscribe only on Edge, I'll be happy. The only thing I do is stream content like Soccer matches and they aren't coming for me on that. EDIT: Opera VPN only gives you 3 choices (Asia, Europe or America).

I can sadly confirm that. Back when I was a stupid middle schooler I posted some personal information online and other regrettable content. Years later I deleted as much as I could, but sadly not all of it I could delete. The only thing I can do now is to make sure I do not tie my accounts to that information.

Some other helpful opsec tips, If you want to take a step further beyond tor & a VPN, I suggest using tails (The amnesiac incognito live system) OS

You need at least 8GB USB stick to install the program tails on.
Then you need to install Rufus on the same USB stick so it's capable of being an operating system.
You will need to access the BIOS
Then you will need to change the boot order on whatever computer/laptop your using. To access the BIOS screen to access the boot order menu for Windows 8.1 is f12 right as soon as you power on. With the USB stick with tails & Rufus already installed on it & plugged in, once you have accessed the bios, select the boot order menu, you will switch the current USB spot your USB stick is in (with tails on it) to number 1 on the boot order. For example let's say you have 3 USB ports and your tails stick is slot 2, You'd bump slot 2 to number 1 in the boot order then your regular OS in this case windows 8.1 would be number 2 in the boot order. Now when you start up your computer/laptop if this stick is in tails will boot up instead of your 8.1 windows.
-Sidenotes
1. You can leave your main OS as number 2 in the boot order as long as you don't have your tails USB plugged in and your computer will still boot up with your regular OS

2. If you plan on doing a lot of work, image sharing, video sharing, Script writing etc, get a bigger USB stick than 8GB to run tails.

3. Tails runs very slow. Dial up slow.

4. For Windows 10 there's a way to access the BIOS but it's not like Windows 8.1 where you can hit a hotkey, You have to actually navigate through the settings and I forget how to do that, for Linux I'm not sure

5. If you unsure how to get to the BIOS menu on your OS, there's plenty of videos out there that will show you

There are also a list of email providers you can use to register that are darknet (Not to be confused with deep web) level of protection.

Dark net: E-mail provider's
-Torbox (this may have changed its been awhile)
-Prosecmail (not to be confused with protonmail) which is a good alternative if You don't want to take the time to set up a prosecmail.
-Tails also has a built in emailing system as well (thunderbird)

In conclusion Some of this may look a little daunting but it's not hard once you break it down.

Another strategy is to buy a $2 Mint Mobile sim and use the free trial, or a Freedom Pop sim with their free tier. Assuming you have an old phone around to use, you can reset it and use it like a burner. This is also the easiest way to get a fresh Google account and a new Google Voice number, just don't use those for anything personal.

Could you expand on this? What alternatives?

Persistence can be set up with encryption on the usb stick with a passphrase.
The browser footprint is the same for all TAILS users, unless you change something, unless I'm mistaken.

I certainly hope this is over-sperging over nothing, but for people in the UK at least this is quickly becoming reality if you want to say "trannies aren't women".
