Honestly, Phil basically wrote the guidebook for how to handle an internet scandal.
  1. ignore it
  2. delete any mentions of it and ban people who talk about it
  3. continue making content like normal
All the people who actually engage with their controversies for whatever reason end up looking worse. It's human nature to want to defend yourself, but I'm convinced that if you follow these steps you can continue doing whatever the fuck you want. At the end of the day if you are a content creator, there WILL be people who want to watch your stuff no matter what you've been accused of or actually did.

Those steps work for Phil because even when he does something you can call a "scandal" 99% of the internet doesn't notice or care. Projared was like the #1 trend on Twitter it's hard to pretend everything is normal with that kind of exposure. Imagine if Phil's taxes/wedding story blew up like that. One tweet got some minor positive attention and look how he handled it. If he was ever trending for something negative he doesn't have the damage control skills to deal with that.

Is Projared finished? It's too early to tell. The fires still burning and he has what I assume is a messy divorce to deal with, but he built up enough of a fanbase there may be something left after the embers burn out. Phil on the other hand has a fanbase of maybe 1,000 people, being generous. A house of cards doesn't stand a chance in a hurricane. Then again this is the pigroach and either way it would be fun to see.

This. Even after everything, the dozens of incidents, he'd have still been kept afloat by his paypigs. The only reason he's in such bad debt is because of his own shitty spending habits and bizarre need to live a luxurious lifestyle. If he didn't insist on keeping that lifestyle he'd still be fine.

Actually he does engage drama. He'll even reignite years old drama that nobody else is talking about for. One of the reasons he has so many detractors is he keeps bringing them up. In terms of ignoring he seems to have a knack for selectively and incompetently ignoring certain things for a time that enrage his detractors causing even more drama.

I do agree that he generally follows the other two guidelines. Its kinda clever in a way. He constantly stirs up attention for himself and plows through all opposition until it gets tired and moves on to the next target.

I think corporations and politicians/public figures could learn a lot from this. The most cunning like Disney/altright figures have started to break from the standard corporate playbook of folding to any public pressure and have started straight up intentionally offending people to gain more press then refusing to back down and waiting for the controversy to subside.

He admitted once that he would go see her on his "sick" weeks that he lied about or vacations. Wouldn't disclose how many times though, unlike the times he flew her down.
 
Only DSP could turn a surprisingly funny roast tweet against a pervert and cheater into some bizarre petty revenge fantasy where the main concern isn't the fact that the guy cheated on his girlfriend but the fact he said one mean comment 3 years ago on twitter, that was less than a sentence long. Which then descends into drunken psychotic ramblings about how everyone who wronged him will 'pay' and thus creeping everyone out.

I'm sure the cheating aspect will eventually be forgotten but the spread eagle 4 inch salute is now going to be eternally following him.

The only foreseeable route for him to take in order to maintain a public image online now is if he goes "Hey guys I've been confused all my life, now I'm transgender teehee, forgive me owo" route, like the rest of the nintendsoys who pull the I'm trans out of their asses.

A full two hour stream of lies is definitely going to get the trolls' attention after this past couple days when they've been riled up. That's about all I'm expecting of this stream, is a bunch of shitposts in chat. No one who he was retweeted to cares. He had nobody on stream. This seems to be for IMC and Tevin and literally no one else.

If he just goes down Drgn's bulletpoint list and lies about each one, hoo boy.

Did anyone ever actually tell him that on twitter you don't need to even check out the person's profile to retweet or like? It just appears on your wall and you retweet and move on? So they don't necessarily check out the persons profile and its even more rare that they'd check out the persons content?
