I don't know about sex differences of the asshole specifically, but the perineum (aka taint) itself is pretty different-looking on men and women--the erectile tissue of the penis goes further back into the body than just the front of the pelvis, and this bulb of the penis is generally visible in most pornographic scenes focusing on the asshole. In general, the male perineum is also longer than the female. Although in general society, men tend to have hairier pelvic regions than women, in gay porn this isn't always true, so you can't really tell just from that.

A very easy and straightforward way to figure out whether your porn close-up is straight or gay without putting too much thought into taint metrics is to just look for balls.

One of the biggest "educators" on tumblr about dd/lg is a tumblr called beyondbdsm. The two people that run it are my favorites

Mods of beyondbdsm include an 18 year old weeaboo and a guy who also runs a loli porn blog. Mostly they both just come off as weird and funny but the best part is that the 18 year old calls herself "hanako mitsu" and is actually an 18 year old virgin named Hannah in a long distance bdsm relationship with her boyfriend that she calls "my Mexican". She defends her weebery saying her Japanese name was “granted” to her by her "dom" because his ex girlfriend passed away and they could feel her presence while practicing long distance bdsm.
