It's one of those justifications that kind of makes sense until you realize it's not really solving anything. Not to mention as a mother I would certainly not be pleased if I found out my underage daughter was a "little". It's more invasive than other fetishes and in practice it's often the antithesis of what it represents: controlling and predatory. I mean, shit, I'm looking through half the screencaps in this thread and the micromanagement from Daddy seems like straight-up psychological abuse.

Young impressionable people are the last ones I'd want to see into this shit. This reminded me of something tangentially related - I suppose there is an argument to be made about the oversexualization of pride parades as well, what with people showing up in full BDSM gear and all (DDLG fanatics included), since not everybody wants to see that in public spaces, but that's a whole different can of worms entirely.

On that topic, it's especially worrying that these people likely think that because it's something childlike and arguably has components symbolic of childhood, it's okay. You don't even have to be anti- kink to see an issue with kinks being taken out of the bedroom in general. When you take a kink out of the bedroom, you're exposing it to all kinds of people who didn't consent to it.
