I still remember i got the album discovery with my current wife and lissened to it in a cross country trip.
The latest album was not all that hot, but it's sad it's over. I was hoping to see them at least once.(that is, if it was actualy them and not randos in costumes playing a USB on a concert.)

Their only appearance on the legendary essential mix.

Its a really good mix of French touch and house. Though it kind of gets bogged down when they start playing some really repetitive tracks about 70 mins in. House being repetitive is an oxymoron I know. Its only for a bit and picks up afterwards.

When i heard about it thought it has been a while since RAM and before that there was also a hiatus, its better to retire now that keep going when the magic isnt there anymore, then old memories were awaken and realized Homework and Discovery were the first albums I downloaded and had on my shitty rip off MP3 player almost 13 years ago

I'm still bitter we never got Alive 2017. I know these dudes had a weird, complicated relationship with fame and celebrity but goddamn they were masters of their craft. I've found artists post-RAM I wouldn't otherwise listen to because one or both of them helped with the production.

I know a lot of people thought Random Access Memories wasn’t that great (personally, I think they let Pharrell get away with giving them too much ideas for how their songs should operate), but those robots had one of the most unique careers in pop music history.

Their trip to Japan to meet the famous mangaka Leiji Matsumoto is still my favorite:

Fuck me, they were still together? I figured like half the group died of cocaine use or something like every other 80s band.

I saw them at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in 2007, and it's still the best concert I've ever been to. I'd hoped they had another like it in them, but alas, it was not to be.

I wish them well.

Never understood why they would wear this shitty helmets all the time.
The French!

Everything is good at Red Rocks. Pat Boone singing Coldplay songs would be awesome there. I don't doubt it was amazing.

I personally hope they decided to stop because of burn out and not because of a fight or something stupid.
Even the best performers experience it and have to come to terms with the feeling of "it's just not fun anymore."
Who knows? They could still come back together at some point in the future.

This is pretty heartbreaking as I'm a pretty big fan, but it's also not surprising because I was wondering why almost 8 years after RAM there wasn't any word of a new album.

I do wish they had released one more album, but oh well.
