I think the plane ticket is just an unlucky coincidence. I dont think his plan was to shoot and flee, but for a court setting it does show the possibility of him ditching responsibility and just leaving the states while his issues are going on (talking about the reason he was on bond prior to the shooting). It might be enough to revoke bond in his case since the DA can reasonably prove he doesn’t even want to try and follow the rules.

4.He was going to meet some big time donor of his that lives in Istanbul. Possible but also seems unlikely.
5.He was going to go on vacation in Istanbul. Honestly the least likely explanation.
6.He's a member of ISIS. I'm going to say no on this.

It actually does apply because it speaks directly to his state of mind when he's approaching people with the intent of riling them up with insults and then using that as an excuse to open fire on them right in front of a courthouse full of police.
Nobody is going to take his statements where he talks about shooting black people like their animals and then walking as the statements of a man in genuine fear of his life. It's the statements of a man that has the mindset of "try it and see what happens". His streaming content also reflects this mindset.
