For all the idiots ITT who believe in shooting people in the legs or something stupid like that:
If you carry a gun and someone attacks you out of nowhere and you want to survive, then shoot ASAP.
You wouldn’t even be able to tell if the guy is punching you or stabbing you in the heat of the moment.

Also, it’s not that hard to kill someone if you keep punching once they’re KO’d, getting KO’d can happen from a single punch.

That's actually unconstitutional and it's pretty well established case law and illegal under statute (Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act). He's probably trying to set himself up for a juicy 1983 suit. Since there are rarely any actual provable compensable losses for something like this (spiritual damages are not really a thing), courts often throw a huge verdict at the defendant just for being fucking stupid.

As not fond as I am of Chudley here, this whole case has been hick bullshit from the very beginning.

Jake Lang's mom calling to check in on her son who has to sleep with the lights on, if anything the judge is making an example out of Lang to make sure there are no future court crashers at Chud's future hearings.

not sure if there's any validity to the claims made by the mom since they're for sure being drummed up by Jake himself to frame himself as a victim once he gets released.

Yes, but it could be illegal brandishing, depending on why you're doing it and how you do it. The elements depend on the context. This is why if you ever pull a gun, you should be entirely willing to explain in court why you did that shit, or entirely willing to enjoy prison.

This is a "personal use" situation. Obviously, a personal policy of "I'll just go around randomly pissing people off then pull a gun on them when they respond" is a VERY BAD policy. Only the dumbest motherfuckers on this thread (how stupid is it even possible for you motherfuckers to be) think that's a viable policy.
