Well, my Youtube account got Strike 3'd and was taken down today. Good thing I created a backup account but I don't plan on posting any CWC videos there. Hope you were able to mirror whatever I had posted, Marvin.

Was it something not covered in my previous posts?

Also, I have all the 2015 videos, I'm pretty sure, but I'm waiting for the new year to post the torrent.
 
Almost every video from the "Chris Vids Aug-Nov 2010" torrent has been put back on the CWCki. While I have this video in the torrent, YouTube keeps blocking it from all I can assume is their typical copyright jewry:

Aside from the above video, all other vids from the torrent have been relinked.

New drive has arrived. The videos aren't where I thought they'd be, but I'm sure I'll come across them as I move files around.
The folder I thought everything was in just had photos and Chris' "music" albums.
I know I moved a folder called web clips, so they may be there, or hidden in one of my backup folders.
I'll let you guys know if I find them or not, and if I have any of the missing videos in the next couple of days.

Ok!

So, I tracked down all the missing videos, with the exception of a few non-Chris videos. (Like, I tried to get all the relevant troll videos mentioned in the various video articles, but I think I missed a Kacey video or something.)

The last few stragglers were 1994-2008, July-December 2009, August-December 2011, and 2012. Any help seeding is appreciated.

Now, the next thing we need to do is back up the various phone calls that were uploaded on the cwcville library. That's probably a lot easier than backing up the videos, because they'll probably be labeled a lot more clearly than the videos were. The list of phone calls is probably a good place to start.

Also, while we're at it, we can start backing up the videos Chris is currently making.

When I get a moment I'll look into those tasks.

I'm not dead set on youtube being our host, because that ultimately might be infeasible. But whoever's making the attempt, I urge you try to appeal any account strikes you get. Try to email support and get ahold of an actual, real life person instead of just dealing with robots. I'm pretty confident that no more than a few percent of Chris vids actually violate youtube TOS. They're probably getting a bunch of white knight flags, glancing over a few of the reports and taking down the accounts anyway.

If you do get ahold of a real life person, and even if they are dead set on closing your account, try to get specific reasons on the reports, and note specifically which videos violated the TOS.

I would suggest you try. Log into the account and pester support. Do your best to converse with an actual human being, and not just a robot. Get them to explain which videos were a problem, try to get them to let you amend the situation, etc.

I mean, whatever you feel like doing is cool. I just really doubt that youtube actually cares about this, so much as they've got a largely automated bureaucracy that's following poorly defined rules.
 
A friend of mine was recently hired by Google as a software engineer, and expects to work on the YouTube team, since that's where he did many of his interviews.

He said that he would most likely be focusing on TOS violations/censorship, and he mentioned to me that YouTube is working on a "dick detector" that can greatly expedite the removal of pornography.

Hopefully him working there could serve could serve as an inside connection that, while not necessarily preventing the archives from being taken down, at least giving us rationale for doing so.
