Even if politics isn't blatantly paraded I feel like it's working it's magic behind the scenes with the creators and probably writers as well. It's kind of funny, the other guy said he used to go on 4chan to read unfiltered reaction towards his work and that's quite smart really. Now he says he shuns all the communities for Reasons. I think when you look at the disengagement with the fan base on one hand and Harmon doing his things on the other we can start to see why season 3 can be polarizing. I wonder what the future will hold?

Dan had an AMA on reddit about a year back. Here's a pretty revealing answer:

The very first phrase is a lie according to everything he does on twitter, unless he is covertly rusing everybody all the time by creating an abrasive personality to lug with him wherever he goes.
In addition, for him to think of his fans as smart and sensitive reflects his pride in creating shows and characters that reflect his own perspective. And naturally, everyone who enjoys them must be as "smart and sensitive" as he is.

Of course, he also disproved this due to his rant against "sexists fans" for disliking the new writers were taking Rick and Morty in, along the entirety of the Szechuan sauce fiasco.

It must have been very disillusioning for him to see his "smart and sensitive" fans show up as meme-spouting, horde-creating exceptional individuals, a indignance that he uses social media to vent upon it towards his fans.

To be honest I really enjoyed the show up to the 3rd season and I was puzzled by the abrupt change in quality and tone of the episodes.

Now I know, Harmon got let loose and filled the writing staff with SJW females who shoved all the usual shit into a show about a sociopathic amoral super genius who fucks with whole civilizations for shits and giggles.

Fuckin SJW ruin everything they touch.

YMMV but I just didn't get a kick outa any of the 3rd seasons episodes. Thought the were lame and boring. I cringed at the "I'm a beta male white racist sexist " line they stuck in there. Like Gerry wasn't already a shitty enough character.

I just figured it was the usual story with popular tv shows; new idea is solid so 1st season is good. They refine the idea so second season is awesome then they run outa steam and the third season is death. Now I know it wasn't just shit but deliberate shit.

Take a min and look at the bio's of the new writers that got hired.

Anyhoo I always torrent shit anyway so not like I gota watch the new stuff.
