Who wants to bet that the (never ever gonna happen possibly) community movie will be one big suicide fantasy? (and perhaps if it does really happen, harmon will decide this is his magnum opus or something before overdosing on adderall and kicking the bucket?)

Season 6 barely got made since most of the crew have used Community as a jumping off point for their entire careers- just look at Donald Glover and Allison Brie. Even with a movie budget, getting the original crew sans Chevy Chase in the same room will be difficult enough alone.

I liked Community but I can't think of a show less conducive to the big screen than it. It's about small things and relatively normal people. What story needs to be told on the big screen that hasn't already been covered on its TV run? You will have to waste 20 minutes of a 2 hr maximum running time just to re-establish the characters for the movie audience.

I think the only reason people are even talking about the idea of Community getting a movie is thanks to the fandom's rallying cry of "Six seasons and a movie!"

From what I've gathered, Season 6 wasn't anything spectacular, and with Harmon now """"working""" on R&M it seems unlikely it'll make a second comeback.

Dan Harmon split his soul to create the successor to humankind that takes the form of Rick and Morty so now he is slowly reverting into a caveman. Equivalent exchange also took one of his livers and replaced it with the undeveloped fetus of a frat boy.

Yep, I think it was like a month after his whole brush with #MeToo on top of it, and he threatened something similar when his now ex-wife seemed ready to leave him. Seems like this is just becoming his new ploy to try and make people forget what a piece of shit he is.

Season 6 was roughly as good as some of the more average episodes from season 2. It was much better than "concept episodes" one right after the other, but as far as the final year of the show, it was pretty much consistently "just ok". I am happier with the finale in that than I was with that dogshit treasure hunt episode ending in season 5 though.

I also don't care about a movie. Maybe if it were like a more grounded thing where they wrapped up some storylines, but I'm 99% sure an actual Community movie would just be one long, awful, skincrawlingly unfunny "concept". Nobody needs that.

I might be late, but his twitter account deletion was almost immediately after people in the /hph/ threads on /pol/ mentioned him as a potential target.

Honestly he's said so much shit on social media throughout the years that I'm kinda surprised it didn't happen sooner. Though considering how addicted is to it he'll probably crawl back eventually.

Though frankly if he's trying to avoid being the next James Gunn, then that's an exercise in futility since his lolcow tendencies expand well beyond Twitter. Hell, probably the only reason more people don't tap into the treasure trove of cringe that is Harmontown is due to the sheer volume of nonsense Harmon can make when he's out in front of a microphone.
