Nah, it's just politics. Both sides just dig up crap on each other and pretend to be offended to score points. Bonus points if you can show the other side being hypocritical (which is more or less the goal of Cernovich here).

I don't think people on the right think Dan Harmon is a pedophile because he made some tasteless joke. Just as I don't think people on the left really thought Daniel Tosh advocates for rape because he made a joke during a set years ago.

I wasn't even aware that this was a political topic. I'm just happy to see the Rick & Morty fanbase getting shaken up, myself. I don't really know who this guy is or what else he's done or said beyond that, and I'm not even suggesting that he actually is a pedophile, I'm just saying that some of the people who make the most jokes about this topic also tend to be the same people who were just doing it as some form of "troll-shielding", so if push came to shove I wouldn't be surprised if that came out in the wash.

As it stands, all he's really got is some ridiculous video and a Twitter account full of edge-posting, and that's a pretty flimsy pretense for anyone to go on some Alex Jones tier crusade to suggest that he fucks babies.

Everyone on the left vilified Milo as a pedophile sympathizer when he made an off color joke about pedophilia. And dude was a victim of it.

There's plenty of reasons to vilify Milo, but that wasn't one of them.

Optimistic but possible. He confesses that he anonymously posted on 4chan's /co/ threads early in the show's success to slam it & the creators(himself) with the dumbest insults to see what kind of reactions he could get. I could see him leaking old content making Dan look bad just because. Especially since that stupid Rolling Stone call-out Dan put Justin on the spot for mid-interview.

Confession was on the H3H3 podcast at some point, easy to google.

I'll reiterate my earlier theory; much like he portrayed Jerry in Season 3, he's a social parasite that survives because he's too pathetic to be worth targeting.

I would say no in general. Roiland is all talent, Harmon is all control freak/manager. Which is why Harmon freaked out about Roiland not bringing his new series idea to him first in that Rolling Stones piece.

If Harmon does anything, it may be managing the IP amongst all the current licensing channels its in right now: two video games, comics, merchandising, etc.

The weirdest thing about this to me is that every person who's worked with Harmon and been on the receiving end of his tantrums always acts like he's this mastermind in mind games who can make you feel like you're worthless without him and with an endless well of charisma at the same time, and for the life of me I can never figure out where they get that from. Harmon has their personality of a used tampon stuffed inside a dead hamster, and looks about the same. And shit like his half-assed apology are so low effort it's baffling that that is what peopls hold up as the gold standard for sexual harassment.

Then again the people Harmon associates with are all the same people who think that construction markers are Nazi symbols, so he's not exactly surrounding himself with geniuses.

Twi big things about Roiland: he has a lot of difficulty focusing on one thing, and if he's not enjoying himself in the process of making something he's not interested in making it. If it was only him working in the show, Rick and Morty would probably end being a less colorful Super Jail, so in the beginning it kinda made sense to have someone like Harmon to give the show a little more structure. The problem is that by season 3 (arguably even by season 2) Harmon had strong-armed himself into the drivers seat and started making the show more about philosophical bullshit that served no purpose than to give Harmon an opportunity to boast about how smart the show was while smelling his own farts in a wine glass.

Also for those curious Harmon hasn't deleted his Instagram yet, and neither has his girlfriend (can't archive anything at the moment) who has quite a few cringed photos. For instance
