I'm just standing by with popcorn for when Dan's marriage inevitably implodes and his (soon-to-be ex)-wife dishes the dirt on how his whole "woke male feminist" act is a facade to keep NPCs off his ass. In other words, it's going to be Dan's turn soon to get "Whedoned*".

*named after Joss Whedon, whose ex-wife came forward and spilled the tea on his ass - especially how he used "feminism" to sleep with aspiring actresses on his shows and as a shield for cheating on his wife.

I don’t know, while I have no doubt their marriage will indeed implode, I’ve always been suspicious of the way Heller REEEE’d about all the feminist talking points and about Trump and the Supreme Court... but then went totally dark for several days when everything about Harmon and Ganz came out. It gives me the impression that at best she’s complacent in Harmon’s shenanigans and will likely continue to be that way even after a divorce, or at worst she has a closet full of skeletons of her own and that Harmon and Heller have an understanding on that. Definitely doesn’t help that Heller’s apparently been sniffing around 15 year olds and interacting with them online in a way that would’ve gotten someone calling the FBI on a male “comedian” doing the same thing.

Though it would certainly be funny if the divorce lead to both of them airing all the dirty laundry they have on each other.:popcorn:

I'm wondering if it might go differently this time. Based on her posting history she seems like an insufferable harpy, but one that has zero self-respect. When that moment comes where she realizes she's now married to an actual alcoholic with wild mood swings she could just buckle and feel like she deserves it all. She may end up putting up with his shit for a long time. Dan is such a manipulative alcoholic he probably knows this.

Shocking, I know, that the "weak male feminist cuck" is really a monstrously abusive shithead in private and the "strong wamen" is actually a frail basket-case behind closed doors.

That would make me like Erin Mcgathy all the more, by the way. Someone smart enough to say "oh fuck no" the first time he screamed at her in a red-faced alcoholic rage.

This is why I continue watching the Dan Harmon Saga. As I men tioned before, i was a fan back in the Scud days all through Channel 101 and MySpace. His vitriol and loathing towards himself and the entirety of society cannot be understated. But through Harmontown - surrounding himself with moral busybodies, joke scolds, and smarmy sexual deviants - he has come out the other end this strange misshapen monster.
Ironically, the precursor to his Harmontown live show was called "mudmonster."

This "I was a giant pussy the entire time" is such a strange fiction but it's not at all surprising. He is still trying to sell us on this identity. It's relatively new. He spent his whole life being a bitter asshole, and he's decided he wants to be non-threatening because it's the latest form he can take in his lifelong imaginary war against "bullies." There was a time when all women were bullies to him. Now it's all men. Because he is a massive idiot.

But look how far our boy has come. At one point he was just a sad fired incel with a little dick. Now he has a room full of sex nerds dressed like librarians who clap for him every time he slices a part of his gender identity away, with a little dick.

He's a pathetic monster. I'm surprised his marriage still seems like it's working, publicly at least.

It's like if an internet moderator kept getting more popular. It's amazing how this type of behavior doesn't scale with the responsibilities involved in any way.

Frankly I think that anyone who was interested in continuing Rick and Morty saw the show starting to go down hill last season and now they don't want anything to do with it. Anyone with a brain can see that the jokes are all played out, so the only reason it'll be brought back is for some failing director to make a few bucks off the die hard fans. Which will happen sooner or later.

Why? Because I know Dan Harmon and I know he's not going to be able to keep a good thing going. When I heard they had gotten approved for as many episodes as they did, I immediately laughed. Yeah, sure guys, that'll happen.

Rick and Morty could easily go the way of the Simpsons, in that it's assumed pop culture juggernaut status in a very quick amount of time and will rapidly run out of ideas before losing its original writers to be replaced by hacks who barely manage to capture the tone and voice but lose the original spirit. Adult Swim will not let this go, as it is too fat of a cash cow. Once Dan is fired for his many indiscretions and liabilities and Justin gets bored and moves on to something else, they'll just keep throwing animators and on the clock writers at it and beat that horse until its a paste. Why wouldn't they? Their fans are all as die-hard as they are retarded.

Is that the latest one, or the one he had with Erin? I heard that new one was going strong and they have some sort of daddy/daughter thing going, but I can't remember where I read that. I choose to believe it anyway.

That marriage to Erin was very strange in retrospect. I'm sure it was mentioned here before but they seemed like a great couple, or as great as he is capable of having with his dream redhead. She helped publish a book of his old writings, went on tour with him, was a member of his show for a long time (years?) then they get married and are divorced after what seemed like 3 months. After she went on an Ireland honeymoon without him. Maybe he addressed it on the show but it's all just so fucking weird.
 
Keep in mind the comic books are on issue 48, with no end in sight and 8 trade collections/4 hardcover collections under their belt. Rick & Morty stories are still pouring out of the woodwork, assuming they keep the right people making them.
