Dan Olson, also known by his pseudonym Folding Ideas, is a pseudo-intellectual hipster SJW who makes unintelligible word-salads he calls videos. In addition to the spergery he vomits out on YouTube and Twitter, he also is guilty of possession of child pornography as per Canadian law (the land where he resides).

Dan Olson, better known as "Foldable Human" or "Benis Puppet Man" from TGWTG, received a hot tip about 8chan being full of CP. So he wiped the grease off of his hipster glasses and planned the downfall of 8chan, downloading the CP and writing an article about it with the pix included.

You'd have to be an absolute retard to not see a problem with this plan. The sheer stupidity of this idea is amplified when you take geography into account; 8chan answers to US law, and none of the content that Dan downloaded (for some reason, he was very descriptive about what each blurred image depicted) would qualify in a US court as CP. A 9 year old girl in a bikini is not CP in America unless vagoo is showing and neither are cartoons. However, it is in Canada, where Dan Olson lives and downloaded the images. This means he is both guilty of possession and, thanks to him posting it on the blog, distribution.

Hilariously, when people started reporting him to the Canadian police, who other than Butts, a fellow pedophile extraordinaire, jumped to his defense to say that there is nothing wrong with posting CP against the law (unless it is being done by someone he doesn't like). GamerGate clenched its anus, and in retaliation gave srhbutts one of several (needed) cock-slaps. Unfortunately, nobody involved knew that Sarah had a history of trying to cyber minors on his site, so the blowback was not as epic as it could have been. Oh well!

So this guy's mad that Deus Ex is addressing race and not some other arbitrary list of marginalized groups? Can these freaks ever truly be satisfied with anything? I already know the answer, but hell...they just make it so obvious. Isn't it just concept art anyway?

Also he must be into pubes because he was mad that Harley Quinn didn't have a full bush in Suicide Squad, or something. Still going to do better than Ghostbusters, nerd.

Am I the only one sick of SJWs glorifying Harley Quinn because "MUH PHD!"? For fucks sake the woman whored her way to a degree and then promptly threw it away to run off with a psychotic clown.

Yeah, I accidentally fell down a rabbit hole of how 'problematic' various women have been in comics over the past like, 50 years. It made me very glad that my interests involve almost no "critical thinkpieces" or long, drawn out debates on whether or not Batgirl would've had sex with Batman.

I presumed they were married or something, but apparently she would've NEVER rode the bat hog until the Killing Joke was made, which is a cartoon based off a comic from decades ago that stirred controversy for having a bad thing happen to Batgirl - she got paralyzed by the Joker. Don't they understand how damaging it is to ever have women be portrayed as anything less than immortal & infallible goddesses?

On another note, Dan Olson seems to like the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Quick, someone let him know they're basically rapists.

In fairness the confusion is understandable. They're both pretentious, pseudo-intellectual white guys who made videos white-knighting Depression Quest/Zoe Quinn. Only difference is Dan's not a doughboy unlike Kyle and Kyle's pretentiousness was (slightly) played up as part of his character. The words that come out of that puppet's mouth are Dan's honest views.

Dan Olsen is the guy who planted child pornography on 8chan, isn't he? I knew the left had an ends justified the means thing going on, eg: Moviebob's Gamergate tweet about there being no bad tactics only bad targets, but that was extraordinarily nasty. Is he still around?

Let me preface this wall of exceptional text by saying that I've experienced this first hand, and it took a lot of effort on my part to break out of this way of thinking.

In my experience, I feel a couple of things factor into this.

First is that they're exceptional people to begin with. Many of them feel that they're talented or even gifted in some way - a common trait is that they all think they are highly intelligent or enlightened. I blame their parents and their close circle of friends on this one - many of these people, like Dan, were never told "no" and often times they will just completely ignore criticism (but that's nothing new here).

The biggest problem, in my opinion, is how socially isolated these people are. Yes, they have a small circle of friends, and yes they have a fan base, but that's just the problem: they are socially exceptional. You and I have a job and get drunk at bars. We meet a variety of people everyday. We talk about different things and have different points of view - and we try to empathize with those points of view. It's not just one side that does this: in a normal situation both parties (male or female, black or white, rich or poor) will try to empathize with the other person (that's just how we are as a species). Human interaction makes us more human, if that's a concept that makes any sense to you.

These people, though, live and die on the Internet. There is no human interaction (save for when they shit up a convention). There is only the Internet - that empathetic barrier has been completely removed. You are just text on a screen to people like Dan - a number he can use to plug into his profit equations.

Instead of interacting with people, being exposed to a variety of ideas and opinions, and feeling empathy they are simply reading text on a screen. Your opinions don't matter - you're just text on a screen - and their circle of friends will never introduce new ideas or concepts to the group. Because of this, they're locked into their way of thinking.

The worst part is that because of the isolation their thinking becomes small minded. They posit big ideas in the smallest way possible; for example, "diversity" to people like this means knowing a lot of black people - and in some cases they think that having black fans makes them diverse. They ignore the idea that diversity isn't just about skin color, but about ways of thinking so that a small minded attitude doesn't hold you - and everyone around you - back.

For as popular as they are on social media, these people really are very isolated. Isolation begets bigotry. The only difference is that they have a large audience to spread that bigotry with.

That's what I think, at least.

Actually I've been reading a few pieces by Social Scientists and such about things. They explained that people like this have their cognitive thinking style underdeveloped, due to environmental factors during the stages where they are learning. They essentially never develop the skills to think objectively and critically. They will work on the conclusion that works best for them first, and then work backwards from there. I blame the education system, teachers, parents and peer groups which all seem to enable this.

I recall a quote from a famous person I can't quite remember right now, it went something like: The intelligent man, will speak his ideas plainly, so that everyone will be able to understand. The unintelligent man will confuse the listener with large words and complex sentences, so while what he may have said may seem intelligent, he has really said nothing at all.
