Chez was some sort of Beta site for blip embedded content. Basically, a really lazy way to make a site. Its down because Blip bit the dust last August. I'm guessing Lindsay and co. are too lazy to make another since it would require making a site from scratch.
IIRC, Lordkat mentioned in one of his rants about TGWTG that the site ran like ass cause it tried to pull every video from all of Team chez when the site loaded.

I forget the episode. The Chez Apocolypse site would load every single video from the associated accounts and embed every single flash video on the front page. I think this was done to "preload" the videos, but it would trash any decent computer and shit your bandwidth hard.
Instead of, you know, a slate. Like every other broadcast medium on the planet.

Mr. Olsen, I'm not convinced you even know what good editing is. EDIT: I know exactly why he's sperging in his car-it's an effort to copy Brad Jones's formula, because Snob gets a shitload more views and he must be doing something right, right? Thing is, it's not just 'review in a car', it's often multiple people discussing their own personal reactions and not just one sperg in a parking lot.
The Supercuts (both of them) are definitely worth your time if you've got, oh, 13 hours to burn. So, your average World of Warcraft raid. Also should be mentioned, those dozen video players? They don't work well together, so your bandwidth and RAM isn't just being gangbanged, they've got a crit multiplier on the damage being done. I believe the quote was "your browser is screaming 'FUCKING SHOOT ME!'"
This guy is so serious about a popcorn movie. This is why I believe in a hierarchy of the arts. A movie like the 400 blows deserves this attention. Suicide Squad is a money making machine, nothing less.
This balding simp spluttering in his car in a self-indulgent haze is the new normal, though. This is the path the culture wars are going to take. Not questions about morality or how to engage with the implicit structural inequalities of globalisation: it's choosing which blockbuster movie to watch.
I've even seen the narrative spun that Suicide Squad was successful because 'ghost bros' decided to actively engage in misogyny about this. Culture no longer has an intrinsic purpose to these pasty white guys, they are warriors now fighting against their chosen outgroup by watching a movie.

Everything is super serious to these beta-ginas. Jonathan McIntosh doesn't dare to pick up a controller if a game isn't about intersectional feminism and is actually fun to play. Anthony "Cucklord" Burch can't just write a game to be fun - every character has to be bisexual and their personality revolve around identity politics, enjoyment be damned. This douchenozzle can't just sit down and watch a popcorn movie that doesn't strive to be anything but dumb fun - it's a national crisis because the film doesn't follow the rules of cinema verite. I swear if these guys actually had any fun, they'd have a mental breakdown. Not every movie has to be the works of Kurosawa, Truffaut, or Fellini.
I agree. I am a believer in a canon but am still quite enamored of action movies and silly movies. I love Highlander 2 and the Room.
This new crew of numales are stuck in the middle: avidly applying criticism to movies that should just be fluff. They can be studied, anything can be studied by niche academics but the idea that these amateurs have based their political views around these films is pretty tragicomic.
Dan's thing is about being savvy. He's always the smartest guy in the room. He's also mentioned the farms in his tweets.

Just because we have a GamerGate board doesn't mean every kiwi is for Gamergate but then again, Danny boy wants to believe the evil terrorist group makes it's home here
They're either neutral or they just dislike us considering they had some mention of Jan when he revealed his ruse. Even then, they (well, those who donated) would dislike Null due to Project Infinity failing and could dislike the Farms by extension. Either way, Dan Olson wants to make it sound like we house nothing but pro-GamerGate individuals.
