He's so full of shit. He keeps grandstanding about calling out pedos and predators, but then when he actually has the opportunity to do so, he goes "well uhh the victims would've been harassed and also Gamergate". Literally the #1 reason why sexual abuse is so rampant in entertainment is that the victims are often intimidated into silence and have no one to protect them. And of course, when this gets out, his first instinct is to defend his own ego instead of admitting everyone in the situation fucked up.

This is just further evidence confirming what we already knew: That Dan has no morals to speak of, hell, even from a machiavellian and completely-amoral stand-point, outing JewWario's abuse would have painted him as someone who is against all abuse from everyone, and would have greatly strengthened his hand in the autism grand war.

Also, this basically creates a trend with Dan, that he frequently finds and possibly enables rapists in his vicinity, he collaborated with Laurelai (a confirmed rapist) on the idiotic 8chan CP thing, and now he's being accused of knowingly covering for another (possible) rapist.

I want to note Dan Olsen said he only found out two weeks ago. He then went on that detailed rant explaining why in that in that short time frame he said nothing was because GamerGate might dig up more shit or "pester and/or harass" people. This is after he already defended a rapist and the article's admission that TGWTG had a sexual predator problem everyone already knew about, but were afraid to come forward. Even when they left the site.

He is utterly filled with shit. He knew. The question, which will probably never really get an answer is, who else? The victim admits the group of people she told were very small because no one would believe it, so it wasn't a site wide conspiracy they tried to control.

Knew for certain: Doug Walker, Rob Walker, Mike Michaud and Holly (the HR manager), confirmed by that chatlog Mike so graciously provided.
Stupidly admitted to knowing to claim abuse and get attention: JesuOtaku / Hope Chapman

If JesuOtaku actually knew and isn't just taking attention whoring to an insane level, pretty much everyone else could have known too.

Many of them knew. Diamonds Hagan and Iron Liz absolutely knew as they spoke with victims. Safe bet is any of the Con going female members were told enough to warn and protect them. Others, a lot of others, knew bits and stories. LordKat knew rumors back then and mentioned them ages ago. And he was as far outside the circle as you could get. Remember the word was not simply “Jewario is leaving”. Unlike some previous departures there was clearly a quiet “no more crossovers... just because” message. So enough info was likely leaked to convey it involved something icky, don’t ask again.
 
Lets say he's telling the truth about when he found out. Why would he mention Gamergate, it's been largely defunct for a few years and makes the reference to it even more out of place.
