That's my read too. And the change happened fast, only 2 years ago even IBS was still going.

Credit to Keemstar, he's quitting instead of trying to milk it another few years. Next we'll see if he was a one-trick pony or if he can jump into another genre.

Drama Alert would still be relevent and have gotten views, if Keem had done all the sperging he did on twitter and on streamers shows on his own channel. Its annoying watching these washed up youtubers blame the algorithm over their own lazy content

Right? It was almost exactly 5 years ago that Idubbbz released the leafy content cop where he played "hide the chin" with children on the street and had "nigger faggot" and "gay retard" as catchphrases on his fully monetized channel, and in the time since then Jim Sterling has gone from an edgy guy who intentionally dresses like a fascist demagogue to a fucking 6.5' tranny ogre prancing around in wigs and thigh socks.

Things shift way too fast these days. It's very anxiety producing and I don't like it.

Pewdiepie used to do a bit that covered internet drama and shit like that and apparently a lot of people liked it and liked his takes too. Problem was that wasn't kosher and he was in enough shit regarding saying the word Nigger that one time. To his credit he knows the game better than anyone and instead of complaining about how unfair Youtube is to people wanting to build a channel, he sanitized his content so it is nothing really more than reading reddit, playing Minecraft and other such games and occasionally doing a funny one off episode watching reality shows. That's all his audience really wants and that is what is keeping him safe and dry.

I wish Keem the best of luck (though I have never watched a single episode of his shit). It's an apropriate time to move on. It would have been enough an excuse to say that Youtube just isn't a platform suitable for his content anymore but instead of being delegated to something like fucking Bitchute or Odysee and screaming into the void to an audience of 800 at most, he can finally move on with his life.

That's what I'm saying. I never really got people that when they got banned off of Youtube for saying vulgar but ultimately harmless shit decide that they need to continue to live on as if the times haven't changed. I was like that too when it was 2016, but Youtube shut that shit down in the past 2 or 3 years. Now the only thing worth watching on Youube are the educational channels. Good on Keem for moving on, but he's still a retar ded niggerfaggot. Granted, what does that make people that move their autism to another less popular venue for basically no reward? Real is more important than gay internet drama since even the internet drama is fake and gay 90% of the time, along with it not even being funny.

I think its a mix of both for youtubers. Youtube algo doesn't like edgy content like it used to and while many channels that were once leading in things they did only to be replaced. Nerd^3 comes to mind, though his problems were other people doing his draw and the breaks, rebrands, and politics

Does that not make sense in his position though? Who would want to run a show about Internet slapfights into their 40s especially with his baggage? I sure as fuck wouldn't. Pass the brand to some youngster willing to deal with that shit and live like a king with that passive income.
 
He's not quitting for 'good'. He's basically looking for another fall guy, the poor guy wants to call people a faggot without being kicked off of YouTube. Drama Alert is still his brand, someone can be a strawman for him.
