Atleast in the beginning, people like Chris or Cobes are just weirdos people like to watch do weird things (I'm talking before the trolls).
Daniel's orbiters are something else. I know many are just watching some weirdo do weird things as a curiosity, sure. But other people, I dont know man, they're twisted, and feel much more mean spirited than any of Chris' trolls, they feel much more like the Idea Guys if any.
Daniel's life is straight up the Truman Show. Its really odd watching people fuck with and stalk a mentally ill homeless dude.

And as always, people who think this place is a problem should check out the Daniel reddit page. I did not expect the lot of them to be such sick fucks.

the shocking part about daniel is how relatively average he is. there are thousands and thousands of homeless schizos, and among them, being im the 80 iq range probably isn't all that rare. redditor's justify tormenting this poor creature because he does a heckin racism but it's debatable if he knows what nigger means and words above 6 letters are basically beyond his grasp. these weird little zoomers are the type to skip school for a week for their mental health anf proclaim the virtues of communism and free health care but torment someone who has extremely obvious disabilities and mental illnesses. reddit and twitter normies are disturbingly psychopathic when they justify their evil

I noticed that too. Many justify it because he says slurs,
I mean if he saysnigger to the wrong person and he gets punched in they face, what are you gonna do-thats self correcting. He'll most likely stop or think before saying shit like that.

But to follow him around town with a drone, to have hourly updates on his location so kids could call up resturants or what ever and make fake threats/ get him kicked out? Sick shit. And kids think it's justified.
You hit the nail on the head, it's mostly younger people, many I'm sure their own mental health is so important to themselves. But not this guy, he's the punching bag.

I realize he's a creep to what ever extant, he's also retarded. Does that give him an excuse To do shitty things? No. But he's also living in a delusional world others have made for him. So I don't know. Shits just gone way too far.

I still don't get how he thinks he's a world famous singer when he doesn't tour or sing, aside from those 3 songs. Idk man just my 2 cents.

I think it shows something about Western culture that when CWC finally became well-known outside of small internet communities like here, ED and SA (and he wasn't really that well-known on SA) and broke into the semi-mainstream, that people became aware of the many, many characters and sagas of Chris' story, and the takeaway for most Zoomers was "Bluespike was cool, I should try to emulate him."

All these fucktards, from ILJ to the Reddit communities around Cobes, Cyrax and Danderson, to maybe the Drachenlord crew as well, are all iPad kids. I can't remember where I said it, but I've noted before that Zoomers are the first generation to grow up with the internet as something that is 100% integrated into their lives. The online and the offline are the same thing. Whereas for older people (who I think the majority of Farmers are), we grew up in an era where the online and the offline were very different spaces. SA's tagline was "The Internet Makes You Stupid", on KF, being "Mad at the Internet" is the worst thing you can be, because it's the internet, it's not serious. You have your anonymous internet life, then you have your offline friends and family, and the two don't mix. Social Media changed that, you used your real name and added people you knew but also people you'd never met.

That blurring of the online and the offline explains two phenomena. The first is the total cultural disconnect between Zoomers and the anonymous internet, the way that Zoomers consider laughing at people on the internet to be as bad as physically bullying them irl, but older internet people just don't see it that way. Calling someone a nigger on the internet is just jokes, you're a nigger, I'm a nigger, it's a funny word, but most of us wouldn't use that word offline because we consider them different worlds. But a lot of younger people don't see the difference, and think that the mean ol cyberboolies at Kiwifarms are out to murder them even though nothing we do ever extends beyond words on this website.

But that goes the other way - for some Zoomers, that lack of a distinction between online and offline causes them to cross lines we wouldn't, because to them harassing someone irl is actually the same as calling them names on the internet. For us, someone on the other end of the internet is an "internet person", which is different from a "real person". But for Zoomers, the Dan Larson on the screen is the same Dan Larson who is freezing on the streets of Denver, and if you can laugh at him on the internet there's no difference between that and pouring water all over him in person.

A related phenomenon is "clout". Internet weirdoes of my generation were anonymous, you did what you did for the luls, and it was neither easy nor very desirable to be famous for it. Wanting notoriety was frowned upon, think about what most channers think of Tripfags. So there wasn't this urge to make yourself the story. For us, CWC was the star of the show. But to an iPad kid, those subscriber counts are basically your measure of self-worth. On the non-anonymous internet, you can be famous, you can be the story. That's why they look at CWC's story and don't think Chris is interesting, they just think that his trolls were cool, because those guys got *famous*. Never mind that, with a few exceptions for people like Liquid Chris who did what they did for comedy, Bluespike, the Idea Guys and all those people were despised. They had clout, and it's really sad that you could look at CWC's story and decide that's what's worth learning from it.

To me the biggest differnece between old school lolcow trolls and how zoomers "troll" is how the zoomers will actually go and hangout with Daniel. They want the clout so bad they will go pose and pretend to be his friend. Some college zoomers even invited his crusty homeless ass into their dorms while mocking him to his face. That never happened back in the day. No one did that and you would be mocked for doing so. Now it's almost normalized with Daniel Larson.
