You're seriously overestimating the standard of fitness to stand trial. Arguably in practice it's even lower than you'd need to get an insanity defense.

The problem is he kind of walks around with a KICK ME sign on his back. He might do okay if the institutional environment intimidates him enough to keep his head down and not actively tard out. But even his facial appearance marks him.

If he does get locked up long term I think they might see that and house him in some special tard unit. I hope so because he's fucked up enough he should be kept out of society but anyone who actively wants to see him harmed is really a piece of shit themselves.

The American mental health system is a joke - people that belong in mental hospitals aren't rounded up until they've already hurt someone.
