Wow, based on that picture I can say he is fantastically near-sighted. I'd guess he is legally blind without his glasses. I'd place his Rx at -8.00 to -11.00 spherical diopters for both eyes based on the distortion through his lenses. He's also amblyopic, meaning his one eye is much weaker than his other. His left eye is his dominant eye, his right eye is the weaker of the two, by quite a bit. He's also likely got a bit of astigmatism in his R eye due to the pincushion effect seen in the picture. He uses a full frame because his Rx would be a challenge to impossible in a semi-rimless or rimless style. The full frames also help hide the thickness of the lenses. This fucker is really, really blind without his glasses. If you knocked the glasses off his face, he's be completely helpless.
I'd imagine, based on his potential Rx, that he has been wearing glasses for most of his life, and his Rx has been deteriorating with time. His Rx is likely to get significantly worse before it stabilizes. This level of near-sightedness is unusual, unless it runs in his family, or he was born very premature.
No, that is actually what happens with an extremely high negative sphere Rx. Normally it can be managed these days, but his Rx is so negative it can't be hidden. He is likely extremely near-sighted.

Now your first guess as to who this was might be Daniel Micay himself, and that was mine too. But since the conversation ended after he wouldn't take it down, I think otherwise. If it was Daniel, he wouldn't stop responding, he would escalate the situation and accuse him of "directing extreme Kiwi Farms style harassment" towards him or something like that.
I think it's more likely this was matchboxbananasynergy, these days he seems to be the #1 defender of questionable GrapheneOS decisions. Consider the following recent examples:

Great posting @Markass the Worst. However, I'm skeptical regarding these Daniel "orbiters"... I wonder if some language analysis tools can shed light on whether they may be the same person(s). Considering how they veto and memory hole features that would make "law enforcement's" job a lot more difficult (i.e. duress features) - I can't shake the feeling that they are some variety of controlled opposition. Virtually 99% of GrapheneOS users get OTA updates without any oversight outside of the GrapheneOS "inner circle" (of "orbiters"). They have 99% of GrapheneOS user's "root-of-trust" (I expanded on this earlier in this thread). We have no evidence they've done anything malicious using this power, but we have loads of evidence they behave maliciously interpersonally. So, like Louis Rossmann has pointed out - how can any sane person continue to trust them with such an important piece of our tech infrastructure? Perhaps the reason they dislike F-DROID so much is because it is the only commonly used software amoungst GrapheneOS users that enforces another gate of oversight (outside of inner circle orbiters) before software hits their devices. That oversight is mostly regarding privacy - not security - of course.
It was like that for as long as I can remember; anyone questioning GrapheneOS/Daniel would immediately get reported back to Daniel to receive some sort of official reply or narrative correction (across Twitter, Reddit, Matrix, etc). I see this either being due to the fact they only promote people who are 100% in line or they are all part of some pre-existing / funded group (or a mix of both). I learn towards the latter because their inner circle is just too effective at enforcing their hierarchy while simultaneously claiming to be against hierarchies, for rationality, etc (the whole leftist blag). So do they only promote and recruit the top .001% of orbiter talent in the world - or is it contrived...
I hope so... However, what is your take on the accuracy of the typical AI detection tools out there? I tried 3 different AI image detectors and they all read Daniel's headshots as approximately 80% AI!

AI detectors are complete bunk. In practice they're well-documented to be inaccurate, and in theory, if you can train something to detect AI outputs, you can likewise train your AI not to output whatever markers are used to detect it. Language analysis tools are in a similar boat; they're really weak evidence.

I was in the GrapheneOS chat room once, and this matchboxbananasynergy and another who I assumed was Micay (a GrapheneOS "admin" account) were online, typing, and sending messages at basically the same time, and I don't recall him being active there before Micay stepped down.

Glad I checked back to see Daniel's ugly face. You're doing God's work, Markass. Having met a lot of privacy software advocates and developers, and having pondered the orb of cybersecurity myself, some of these guys are absolutely fucking insane. It's actually part of what drove me toward iOS with custom Apple Configurator profiles courtesy of Jonathan Zdziarski, who wrote dspam and invented iOS jailbreaking, and is totally not schizophrenic. Though I will say that OpenBSD's spamd that spoofs a real mail server and simply asks everyone to try again in a few minutes is a surprisingly effective way of killing spam.

Like I previously expressed, I read this as a sort of distraction from the fact that they methodically slander privacy-valuing software and methodically ban anyone from their community that doesn't enforce the idea that "well you have to trust someone" (privacy-invading hardware/software: Google, Titan M, App Store, chromium (without ublock), ChromeOS, Windows (anything except for Linux and customer's rather than gov's/corp's power over root-of-trust). Lately in their community, they are also very opposed to F-DROID, which is the only "appstore" that actively works to prevent privacy invasion. Perhaps the GOS crew's job is to deanonymize the segment that needs the more secure/private software but isn't quite at the level where they can build it themselves (like the kabal they work for). I realize this includes conjecture, but the correlation increasingly builds...
