Daniel Micay / strcat / strncat / thestinger / GrapheneOS - Schizo software programmer and developer of GrapheneOS Android ROM. Starts drama with everyone and accuses them of harassment. Chronic brigader and bridge burner.

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Didn't this faggot step down after he got btfo the first time?
He did but he meant "step down" in his own special way that didn't mean stepping down from anything at all.

I believe Daniel is adopting a new strategy of sperging faster than I can archive, screenshot and post here. So if you're reading this Daniel (I know for a fact you are), it's working. If you keep making a fool of yourself as fast as possible then it's impossible for me to catch up and this thread will run out of content. ;)

So anyway Daniel is spending all his time on social media these past few days arguing with random retards stalker children intent on felony telephone harassment.

A comment from Nullnet Services:

Daniel is aware of the Streisand effect so his solution is to make sure that talking about the "attacks" is "done very well." I'm sure that will help, Daniel.

Daniel is apparently the "project manager" now. So to recap: He used to be the lead developer, but then "stepped down," not from being a developer but from being the lead developer to just a regular developer, but people noticed he was still heavily involved in GrapheneOS so I guess now he says he's a project manager to explain that away.

Btw, the "private information" was literally that Daniel Micay is diagnosed with autism. That's it. It's in the court filing with the Copperhead lawsuit so I'm not sure why he thinks that was private information. Also literally everybody can tell that Micay is autistic, and everybody on Kiwifarms is autistic too for that matter, come on now.

Daniel still thinks I'm Louis' friend for some reason. Also, bonus mention of "the Asahi Linux developers" a/k/a the pedophile known as Hector Martin.
30.png31.png32.png

Hilarious how he assumes Hector hides behind a project account like he does, so rather than naming Hector he just says "the Asahi Linux developers." Inability to think about what other people actually do, it seems.

Believe it or not, Henry Fisher is still harassing Daniel. How? Dude just trust me.

I love how Daniel says anybody viewing Louis' video will side with Daniel, and yet apparently the video convinced so many people against Daniel that he is afraid of spreading "harassment content" and doesn't want to "spread their harassment content for them" (whenever people ask about how exactly he is being harassed). Bit of a contradiction there.
58.png

All this sperging, all these angry words and yet he still has never answered the question of why he accused Louis Rossmann of being complicit in swatting him when he never did anything of the sort.

Jesus fucking Christ

I honestly don't know how people like this even function on a day to day basis. He could have just moved on months ago, but this non-event seems to be a defining moment in his life story (his version, anyway). What a massive fuckup.

He just keeps drawing attention to it. I don't grt it. Does software development really do this to people? How many things do I use every day that are the products of truly backwards minds?

Sent from GrapheneOS

I have had the misfortune of attempting to talk sense into people in the grips of delusional paranoid psychosis and they talk exactly like Daniel. They will make bizarre claims then evade when you ask for evidence, whilst simultaneously interpreting that request as a personal attack on their integrity. They will ramble on forever about this stuff in this kind of obsessive manner then throw (often literal) tantrums if they think you don't believe them. For all but the worst cases of paranoid delusion, they will be aware, somewhere in the back of their minds, that what they are saying is crazy, but the crazy really really doesn't want to engage with that and feels very threatened if someone appeals to their sense of reason too effectively. That's why they can evade and play word games to avoid having to show evidence for their beliefs. Someone I visited in a psych ward told me they were getting secret texts from the CIA on their phone. When I asked to see them, they said "I can't show you them, they're secret. Duh." If they can't come up with a semi-logical reason for not evidencing their claims, they move on to trying to change the subject or going on the attack (by saying that the person asking for proof is in on the conspiracy). If that doesn't work, it's time to scream and throw furniture. We see that model in the way Daniel writes. I understand that some people in this thread think his ducking and weaving is evidence that he's sane, but if you've ever known someone in psychosis you know that isn't the case.

Where Daniel does differ from the cases I am familiar with (I'm not a professional, I just get exposed to a lot of crazy people through my job and family), is his consistency and ability to stay relatively on-topic. He's not like schizophrenics, who can't stay on the same topic for an entire sentence before going on another flight of fancy. He's also maintained the same level of crazy for a very long time, most crazy people have peaks and troughs. But this could be due to his autism and/or some kind of Cluster C disorder (OCD or similar) making him more obsessive and focused than most nutcases - crazy people are very rarely just one kind of crazy, they usually enthusiastically partake in the lunacy buffet.

Daniel's such a drama queen.

If he thinks the current pushback to his kool aid man ad-hom Xitter delusional musT correcT The record, child behaviour is harassment, he'll have one hell of a next few years if he comes into the crosshairs of actual pests

ETA: I can just see his sperging, now. "Saying that you have farted in the GrapheneOS codebase is harassment targeting our team and our community."

Do any active GrapheneOS "core developers" have any public profile or are they all basically anons? Seems to be the latter. Amazing how none ever step out of line with Daniel!
If the official GrapheneOS take is "Rossmann is a fascist sympathizer with disgusting views," then one must wonder how extremely far left they all are behind the scenes. Considering Rossmann is so moderate and has put in more time & money fighting for consumer rights, privacy, etc than 99.9+% of people in the historical record - this could be a tell on how radically far left these GrapheneOS developers really are (and there are no dissenters amongst them). The general consensus in here is that he has something approximating schizophrenia which is actually similar to his publicized story and the general consensus (regarding stepping down and his mental health issues). Historically Daniel's biggest beef was with James Donaldson, CEO of CopperheadOS - an equally illusive figure whose existence in search engines and social media serves almost entirely as a backstory for Daniel & GrapheneOS. Has Mr Donaldson no voice or opinions or need to do anything on the internet again since his run-in with Daniel? Strange!

I'll tell you what, if I was a glowie upset that Graphene was interfering with my ability to spy on people, I'd be pretty happy to know that all I have to do to grind development to a halt is make a few socks and engage them on Twitter.
They don't even have to do that. Daniel discredits himself and his project far more effectively and quickly than glowies could ever achieve with a psyop. Ironically enough this proves GrapheneOS as being free of fed control, but only because no glownigger would ever make a honeypot led by an obviously insane person and any glowie who did would be instantly fired.

Do any active GrapheneOS "core developers" have any public profile or are they all basically anons? Seems to be the latter.
They are all pseudonymous at the very least. Far as I know the only dev that has ever done an interview is Gabe a/k/a flawedworld.

Local audio archive:
(Preservetube)

The interviewer is Simon a/k/a The Hated One, and he is a notorious GrapheneOS dick sucker, defending it several times such as this Reddit post (a):
/u/The_HatedOne said:
In Rossmann's conclusion, he lost trust in GrapheneOS if it is run by Micay because of his behavior. I understand why someone would make that assumption on the emotional level but it is completely illogical and removed from what's possible in reality.
He then goes on to cite a bunch of irrelevant shit:
/u/The_HatedOne said:
GrapheneOS or anyone working on the project, cannot hijack your installation. They don't have access to the kind of data they'd need in order to discern individual users. GrapheneOS doesn't collect device identifiers, IMSI numbers or phone numbers. GrapheneOS doesn't require any user account like you'd need with the stock Android or the iPhone/iOS. The only relevant information collected by GrapheneOS is the IP address, which can be easily obfuscated with a VPN or Tor, both of which work 100% and have no issues connecting to GrapheneOS servers. GrapheneOS purges all IP logs within 10 days. The only other data point is the device model, .e.g. "Pixel 6". But that isn't narrow enough to discern individual users. In other words, GrapheneOS would never know who you are as a user of the system.
Cool, except for somebody to be comforted by any of that, they inherently have to trust Daniel Micay. There is no shortcut around this. Yes, users cannot be identified right now but there is nothing to prevent Daniel from pushing out an update that does so. And if you don't trust him to not do that, why use his OS?

In other words this argument is "you should trust Daniel Micay because you should trust Daniel Micay."
/u/The_HatedOne said:
I am saying this, because a lot of people for so many years have tried to try to discredit GrapheneOS both as a project and as a product because of issues they have with Micay or other personalities. This is a completely illogical and asinine assumption. It has been made by Techlore, Rossmann and many others I find it very harmful to suggest objectively inferior privacy solutions because of personal feuds.
Yes, some people (like Risen) make this argument. But most of us don't. Not even Rossmann, who says you should still use Graphene if Micay doesn't hate you (and I don't know why Simon takes issue with his opinion when Micay also says he doesn't want haters to use Graphene).

Amazing how none ever step out of line with Daniel!

That's right. Even a tranny got sick and tired of Daniel Micay's bullshit.

This is just speculation, but since his departure was post-(alleged) swatting while pre-Rossmann, he might have had disagreements with Micay doubling down on his vendettas in a misplaced bid to punish who he thinks perpetrated the (alleged) swatting (a).

To this day, this is the only GrapheneOS project member I am aware of, former or otherwise, that has publicly acknowledged how much of a retarded sperg Daniel Micay is.

He actually commented on Daniel Micay again when Louis Rossmann posted his video back in May of 2023.

He also claimed that Daniel's claim about him planning to turn signing keys over to Raytheon was just a misunderstanding on Daniel's part and no such plan ever existed. I don't know how true this is.

Indeed and I would add that their official response to that is basically that you can run your own GrapheneOS "OTA" server, but you'd have to modify the install process and images to use that server. Then I guess you'd compile everything from source and have an automated test to see if the builds were "reproducible" (https://reproducible-builds.org/) - identical to the official OTA releases. Then you can guarantee nothing is being snuck in there - so long as your organization can understand that huge amount of source code to the degree that you trust it. I realize that GrapheneOS has had 3rd party security audits, but I think such things should be done continuously using a CI/CD system. This would actually be a way to have "GrapheneOS distros" and get some of the features in that they refuse to even discuss on their GitHub. Your OTA updates would then be from your distro's servers or your own. And if your testing system doesn't block the latest release, then you could have your updates as soon as most other GrapheneOS users.

It is hard to tell if sickos like these are too concerned about keeping private whatever they're doing with their own computers or willing to risk that to feed a backdoor to like minded sickos in intelligence (and of course pay them handsomely). These intelligence sickos might then use said exploits to unlock a GrapheneOS phone that was used for "posting hatespeech" meanwhile claim to be unable to unlock Epstein's phone "because we need to outlaw strong cryptography" or whatever unverifiable self-serving narrative they so please...

Another cool story, but impractical for a single person and it would require an organization to properly implement as you imply. I'm not aware of any organization doing this for GrapheneOS. (and doing it free of charge, and keeping up with updates quickly, etc) If one were to exist, I suppose you could shift your trust to them, but for now everybody still has to trust Daniel Micay (and his fellow project members who never disagree with his antics). If you don't trust him, don't use GrapheneOS.

GrapheneOS community moderator MetropleX subtweets Louis Rossmann and calls him a "morally ambiguous influencer":

The anime avatar decides to bring up Rossmann's video. Big mistake:
05.png06.png

Daniel Micay accuses Louis Rossmann of "trying to justify harassment" towards the "Asahi Linux developers", which is a brand new allegation. I don't know where he got this from, the only thing Louis ever did was respond to Hector Martin about some Apple shit.

I feel like he started saying it after I pointed out Louis' only interaction with me was him saying he still respects Hector as an engineer despite Hector smearing him as an evil harassment Kiwi Farms swatter. It's incredibly strange because that interaction has been publicly available for anybody to look at all this time, so why didn't Daniel go with that spin earlier? He must be extremely selective about what parts of KF he reads.

Also random_text worthy quote at the end. :story:
Daniel Micay said:
When you call yourself a "shitposter", what you're really saying is that you're a despicable person who harms people because you're insecure about who you are and the fact that you contribute nothing of value to the world.

For whatever reason, Daniel Micay mentions the tranny pedophile known as Lucas "Keffals" Roberts, and not to point out how Keffals has encouraged/facilitated illegally sending life-altering chemicals to minors to prey on and groom them.

I literally have no idea why Daniel brings up Keffals. Louis has never mentioned him in any way. The closest thing he has done is take Destiny's side when Keffals got him banned from Twitch for supposed """transphobia""" and maybe Daniel is upset about that.

Guys, guys, believe me, Louis is still using GrapheneOS, so he's a dirty rotten dang liar. Proof? Dude just trust me.

You know, in times past, someone in Daniel's life would have intervened after seeing this behaviour and got him help. Or he'd be that crazy guy with the sandwich board, ranting on a street corner about the end of the world. The fact that everyone in his life is allowing this man to continue this self-destructive behaviour is an indictment of how little they actually care about him.

Just out of interest, I actually watched the video he's being such a queen about. Danny Boy is repeatedly referring to a video of someone quite reasonably (IMHO) getting fed up and documenting Danny's ongoing abuse... including Danny's ongoing spergout as he's recording the video... as an example of the abuse he receives.

I think he's too far gone for that intervention.

Also; Danny Boy - it is not a shock, surprise, leaked personal data, or whatever else you want to call it that you have been "outed" as autistic. Try being less of THE stereotype, for a change.

He has been posting more and more on his twitter account. Most recently, he actually linked https://kiwifarms.st/members/larossmann.132201/ in his dishonest/crazy attacks on Louis Rossmann in order to try to discredit him.

Since it looks like Markass the worst is the only one archiving his stuff, I want to know if anyone knows a modern way to safely scrape Micay's twitter posts. I did this previously with Hector Martin / Asahi Lina, but that was before Elon took over and broke everything. If anyone knows how to do this safely, please let me know...

Micay also claims that Rossmann attacked the Asahi Linux project. I am unaware of this ever being the case. If anything, it seems he has a lot of respect for the project. Of course, Asahi Lina might not have respect for Louis Rossmann...

I saw on twitter yesterday some Graphene OS twitter post:
I know Graphene OS guys have vendettas against other project, but I wonder how true is that TOR is compromised:
Firefox is the least secure of the mainstream browsers. It has a much weaker sandbox and dramatically weaker exploit protections. Smaller market share and lack of monitoring for exploits means fewer exploits are caught in the wild, which doesn't mean it's safer or more secure.

Firefox has a much weaker content sandbox across platforms. Their sandbox also doesn't have a full site isolation implementation so it can't fully defend sites from each other yet. On Android, they don't implement a content sandbox at all despite it being easier to do there.

Firefox has no equivalent to the V8 sandbox, no equivalent to the use-after-free protection from Oilpan + MiraclePtr and a similar lack of basic JIT mitigations and other defenses. Firefox has far less fuzzing and review happening too. They laid off a lot of the security people.

Tor Browser being based on ESR isn't really a positive thing. It skips a lot of the newly added code for a while but it's a much more stagnant target for exploit development with less churn. Due to how it's used, it's a major target for exploits and lacks monitoring for it.

Tor Browser has awful security. That's not the same thing as Tor itself. Tor itself has issues separate from that and has been successfully heavily infiltrated by the German government to deanonymize people because it's an open network anyone can join with their nodes.

There's nothing actually stopping a group of governments from hosting the vast majority of Tor nodes in order to deanonymize traffic going through it. It has no real defense against it beyond being able to detect cases where they screw up badly and leak that nodes are related.

Tor as a way to access the public internet via exit nodes brings more problems. Why trust choosing 3 random nodes from a pool which collaborating governments can fill with malicious ones and have been caught actively doing it multiple times? What about when they do it smarter?

There are other approaches available for accessing the public internet. Why isn't a multihop WireGuard VPN across multiple trustworthy providers better than trusting arbitrary nodes?

How does Tor defend against a group of governments in deciding to host a majority of nodes?

Western governments appreciate Tor when used to undermine governments, but they can undermine it for other purposes without breaking it for that.

Are you aware of https://tagesschau.de/investigativ/panorama/tor-netzwerk-100.html? It's essentially a small scale proof of concept. What happens at a much larger scale?

I have some skepticism that Tor isn't perfect, but I didn't think or know Tor was that compromised. A lot of illegal services use TOR networks. What are your thoughts?

No, tor is not compromised. Regardless, it is the best service we have. You can see the whonix website for comparison with whonix vs chaining VPNs. For example, VPNs will not implement stream isolation. Tor/whonix is definitely preferable. Learn more at http://www.dds6qkxpwdeubwucdiaord2xgbbeyds25rbsgr73tbfpqpt4a6vjwsyd.onion/ and http://www.dds6qkxpwdeubwucdiaord2xgbbeyds25rbsgr73tbfpqpt4a6vjwsyd.onion/wiki/Whonix_versus_VPNs

Tor being based on firefox is a legitimate and serious problem though. For this reason, you should use tor browser on the safest security level whenever possible, and you should only use the safer security level when visiting a trustworthy site (like kiwifarms) that makes the terrible mistake of requiring javascript. Also, you should use .onion websites when possible, like the kiwifarms onion, rather than trusting the exit nodes. The exit nodes are the most dangerous part of the network, for multiple reasons.

There are multiple things that the tor project tries to do in order to combat malicious nodes. You can go to their forum and ask them about it. Ask them at https://v236xhqtyullodhf26szyjepvkbv6iitrhjgrqj4avaoukebkk6n6syd.onion/. But you yourself can help them out by hosting your own non-malicious nodes if you can! The more good nodes there are in the network, the safer we all are. Alternatively, you can donate to the tor project for them to run good nodes. We definitely need more exit nodes, but those are the most inconvenient / dangerous to set up.
