For what it's worth, I think I was pretty fair to the guy. He is the most controversial guy we've ever had on so the criticisms people had towards him had to be brought up, especially after the SS interview. I felt like I had to add some advice on how I think he can improve, because that's what I believe is constructive criticism. Whether he follows it or thinks its useful is up to him.
I'd like to add that this wasn't in any way a trap, he is aware of these criticisms, has addressed them in other streams, and I have talked to him about them in DMs.
I think it was a pretty fair and productive discussions, I'm just sorry it went on for that long.
I want to thank you for getting Doody Streams on the line and bringing up some of the criticisms against him.
I've never watched your content, and I have never watched the That Being Said podcast. It's nothing personal obviously, I just prefer to get my LULs from the source.
Many people think Doody is just a DSP detractor, but this is not the case. He is a Grade A WingsofRedemption a-log. Doody was in a very shortly lived group called "Real Tawk" or "The Real Tawk Podcast" where he, Wings007, and some other guy who's name I can't remember would restream Wings and comment over it. Real Tawk pulled a gayop on Wings, where they clipped a section of Wing's live stream, uploaded it to their Youtube channel before Wings ended his live stream, then flagged Wing's channel. This got Wing's channel taken down. He was able to get his channel reinstated after going through the appeal system, so ultimately the gayop failed, and Real Tawk was heavily criticized.
Doody was able to walk away from this incident relatively unscathed, because the "Wings Community" focused their ire on Wings007 because he is a faggot paypig who was giving Wings money to entertain his
shenanigans on stream, and to not strike his channel.
You would think that Doody would have taken the L on this and moved on, but instead he doubled down and claimed that he had a surefire way to get Phil removed from Youtube. There was discussion about this on this very subforum. Luckily, it never panned out, and Doody changed lanes from gayoping, to making shit up for views.
Right off the bat in this "interview" lets call it, Doody says he spams uploads because :
1.) His style is "guerilla uploads" .. whatever the fuck that means
2.) He sees this as trolling Phil
3.) "It floods the algorithm and blocks out Phil's own uploads"
This is all bullshit. Doody's style is being first. You even mentioned this yourself, "Doody is the breaking news guy" He uploads clips from Phil's stream right after they happen, so his videos get a high view count. This makes him money. Doody is a 47 year old man who is unemployed and makes money off of DSP, so he spams videos about DSP all day long to get a Youtube check. This is also why he makes shit up like "1mm is Phil" or "1mm is Derich's parents" as you also mentioned.. Views, views, views. He wants to be Mr. Views. This is why he will not upload 1 or 2 thirty minute long videos, because this lowers the amount of views he gets in a day, and thus, makes him less ad revenue. This is also why he tried to branch out to doing content on other Lolcows when Superhound was making his rounds taking down the detractor channels. However, these videos (mainly about Boogie) got significantly less views than his DSP videos, so he ran back to making DSP videos pretty quickly.
Doody says that he is different from most detractors because he engages with his community by posting in the community tab on Youtube, and replying to Youtube comments. "His community" Are we not all in the same community? If he really wanted to engage with the community, he should come here and spread the love, as you and several other prominent detractors do, instead of just saying that he engages with the community, while he deletes Youtube comments that call him on his shit.
In my opinion, Doody was lying and trying to save face throughout the entire interview segment. He isn't going to stop spamming videos, he isn't going to quit being a click baiting faggot, and will continue to be the worst DSP content creator.
Regardless, thank you for being the first prominent detractor to openly call Doody on his shit. It left a bad taste in my mouth when Doody started spewing the "1mm is Phil" bullshit, and instead of being shut the fuck down for making up that bullshit theory just for ad revenue, other detractors promoted him, and some even adopted the theory themselves.
I said this in the main thread a while ago, but ill repeat it just because
Phil is wrong about the vast majority of detractors. However, he is correct about Doody. Doody is a conspiracy theorist who makes shit up for views so that he can profit off of Phil, and in fact, plays his theories off as fact. He is a dumb nigger and he deserves to be criticized.
