Maybe someday Steve can give us a 10 hour long psychological breakdown of a man who spends thousands of hours of his life dunking on a lolcow who everyone can recognize is a piece of shit in under a minute.

I never understood the dislike for Steve. He makes them that long because thousands of people listen to them, and they're insightful. I sometimes put one of his videos in the background and it gets me through a day at work. He seems like a nice guy, and is competent enough to have a productive analysis. He's upfront with what he does, and what he does is more productive, and creates more entertainment, than crying about him on a forum where 5 people will see what you said, and 3 of them will call you a faggot.

Those videos get tens of thousands of views and he probably makes money off them while he's sitting at home recovering from surgery. Yes it is, and there's demand for it. You can say it's stupid, which it is, but it is productive.

I don't even care about defending the guy, but this thread used to be about exposing gay ops and pathetic degeneracy and it turned into complaining about detractors you dislike because their videos are too long or you think they're gay or liberal

This is a retarded take even for this subforum. Rambling for 8 hours into a camera about a retarded Polish man and his cat then going back and spending hours upon hours editing it like he has done with some of his videos for 5000 people is absolutely not a good use of your time. It is not productive. It's both stupid and unproductive. I don't care about his politics (I was making fun of his videos before he came out as a leftist) and I have nothing against him as a person he seems cool but to say that what he is doing is a good use of time is laughable.

I have no problems with super long videos, I at times like some of the channels who specialisted on this, like Patrician TV. But I really couldn't bother listening to a Steve of the Dead x hour video on some aspect of Phil. I have no problem with him as a person, I think he is ok in TBS, but I can't stand his long uninterrupted monologues like the ones he does on a shallow topic that does not deserve any profundity. I am sure he knows what he is talking about, but what is there to analyse? Phil is a big, typical vulnerable narcissist with an addiction problem. I think he is pretty easy to read and understand, no big mystery. But then again, if you have nothing to to all day, making hour long videos on something and making a bit of cash on the side is probably not the dumbest idea, so I guess I have to give him that. I mean, Quinton Reviews makes a very respectable living talking hours long about shit I couldn't care.

I think if you told a normal person you spent your free time doing that they would legitimately worry for your mental health. His video on how DSP consumes pop culture is less than 40 minutes long, and you could easily make a fucking 4 hour video on that subject and it wouldn't feel like overdoing it. Phail doesn't like the Holy Troons? Hour and a half. Phail and DDP Yoga? 3 hours. Phail didn't pay for bloodwork for his catson? 12 fucking hours (he made two videos on the subject).

The only aspect of him I don't find insufferable is his intro on "That Being Said" where they say STEVE OF THE DEAD GET WELL SOON MAN, I also like how he doesn't show up to the podcasts very often, it really improves without him. I hope he doesn't get well soon and actually dies, i'll watch his videos then.
