Both of them are lazy, entitled, unintelligent manchildren. It was crazy for me to realize that all those stories where Phil makes her seem like an incompetent buffoon are most likely true, given that they really sounded like his own fuck-ups that he then shifted onto Khet. It seems unlikely. Not the mass email part, that I can believe, but that being the reason he got kicked out of the partner program. I bet the mass emails were either sent to some rando at Twitch who has no influence over anything, or they were flagged as spam. The other reason I'm doubtful is generally when people were reporting Phil to try and get him banned, it was for stuff like hateful language/toxic behavior, I don't think anyone was reporting him for the significantly less glamorous "uploading his content to YouTube without waiting 24 hours (or however long it was" rule that, as far as we know, ultimately got him kicked out of the program. It was a fairly obscure and boring rule that I don't think got mentioned much, and if there was some sort of dentractor effort to campaign for it, I feel like we'd have heard about it because they aren't really the type of group to do anything quietly.

While I agree that Steve's email campaign (if that screenshot is even real) almost definitely didn't have any consequences, where was it ever confirmed that reuploading his content was the cause?

I don't have a link handy, and it isn't 100% confirmed proof which is why I put the "as far as we know" bit in, but when he was reading the email for why he was banned he touched on it, then stopped when he realized the email didn't actually support his claims that he was kicked because trolls were reporting him for using slurs or whatever. The slurs thing did also happen and resulted in a temporary ban, but like the few other times something similar happened, the ban was reversed around the same day.

The reuploads seems like the most likely suspect because, if it really was for toxic behavior or hateful language or whatever else, it seems weird that they'd let him stay on the platform, even if he was no longer partnered. I don't think they'd outright perma ban him because Twitch generally doesn't do that to begin with, but they will at least ban people for around a week to a month for that sort of behavior. The fact Phil's ban was reversed so quickly but he was kicked out of the program makes it seem like they were unrelated. He was also told he could reapply to the partner program, which again feels like a weird thing to offer if he was kicked for more substantial reasons. At best, maybe looking into the slurs stuff is what also clued them in to the uploads.

Phil's defense was also pretty shaky when it came up on stream. I think he basically said he's been doing it for years and nobody actually cares about that, so it had to be the detractors that got him kicked, which came off as him trying to quickly deflect and bury the possibility that he did something wrong. The only reason I don't consider that bit stronger evidence is Phil always tends to do that. Another small bit of evidence is nobody tried to get asspats for being the one to get him kicked, at least up until recently.

Short of Phil releasing the email, I don't know if we'll ever get 100% confirmation, but I think there's enough there to reasonably say that was the reason.
