Big ups to Steve of the Dead for obliterating all of my goodwill to him in the span of an hour, and on top of that making me look like a complete retard for defending him over the past 6 months or so. You really did me a solid there you fucking cunt.
I'm not surprised the usual suspects were abuzz on Xitter but it's sad to see Darksydeflow turn out to be a sperg, he was as skilled as Liquid Richard when it came to producing songs using voice clips of Phil.

Lewsacris is a solid replacement for Steve, but he was always good filler whenever a guest or host wasn't available. Unless Meerkat comes back full-time (unlikely), they will need another host to avoid solo-style shows again. Like it or not, Steve was perfect for that role because he's consistently available and could fill dead air with his monotonous rambling regardless the situation you threw him in.

ALT likes her though, as does most of the detractor community, for whatever damn reason. Screeching voice, parrots what everyone else is saying, still lives with her parents, probably has brain damage from drug/alcohol abuse.

Iirc she and Snood helped him behind-the-scenes when he was getting into making detractor content, so he probably thinks he owes them a lot. It also probably explains why he gave Snood the "soft treatment" (keeping modship, shouting DB out, etc etc) instead of severing ties entirely after the pedo "allegations".

Nothing wrong with that, he seems to enjoy being a discount Kirsche and editing for IaG - plus he makes a living doing it - so more power to him. I don't watch Ludwig but on TBS and other detractor streams he doesn't really talk about politics in the vein that Steve or even Doody do. Sure he's not the most charismatic, but he's familiar with other lolcows and is always able to add something to the conversation when he's there.

As others have said, a new host is needed; Meerkat can’t do full time and even yesterday things were a bit flat with reduced numbers.

However I have zero concerns it will be Indrid. I’ve heard ALT struggle to keep her on topic, he knows what she’s like. But don’t forget Meerkat gets a say and I’m not sure he’s thinking Indrid makes for a great stream.

Sry for shitting up the thread with my opinions nobody asked for, but the firing of Steve is just very hype to me.

I am rewatching the stream now (morning for me), and I must say, Alt and Meerkat handled this very gracefully. Objectively impressive. Stating the facts in the beginning, no blaming / insults etc., understanding that the chat might be a bit rowdy and full of opinions at that day, but accepting that and encouraging people to use this stream to express their opinions if they have to and let it all out. Absolute masterclass.

Now imagine how DSP would have handled the same situation...

DSP detractors get rightfully shit on for cringe, hypocrisy and idiocy that happens too often in our "community", but one should also point out when things were handled very well.

Also since Steve bored me to death and I am not on any social media except LinkedIn anymore, I never knew how much of an annoying oversharing Peter Pan NEET he was.

I agree, but he helped with the initial setup of the show from a technical standpoint. The first episodes were rough and I believe it was Sam who worked out a lot of the kinks in the audio, layout and overall quality. There’s several instances where ALT has said that Sam is way better at that type of shit than he is.

If i remember correctly Sam was setting up his own dentist practice, so i very much doubt he's ever short on cash.
Plus he's said before he has kids, so unlike Steve he has things going on that are more important than watching a 42 year old beggar play games badly.

I think when he said that was before ALT got all his experience with WPIG. I'm sure he's surpassed Sam now who never streams. Even when Sam is back ALT has control of the stream. He doesn't add anything anymore but they won't let him go cuz he's harmless and not a psychopathic cringe loser like Steve.
