Theo Theory: Mike is kissing Piggy's ass hard and trying to avoid stepping on eggshells as much as possible and Phil thinks they have some informal agreement (AKA not a legal agreement). Phil doesn't want to blab too much about what is planned partially because Phil doesn't actually know what he wants to do with this and probably thinks this informal agreement means the documentary will be meaningful and unbiased khantent (AKA his narrative with absolutely zero supporting evidence).
Here's the clip. Phil's hand has been forced.

Thanks for reminding me why I hate this asshole. Mike, remember this. We don't hate him because he makes more money than us for nothing. He could win the lottery and I wouldn't give a shit. We hate Phil because of what is in this clip. Banning people for talking about stuff that is unsanctioned by Phil himself simply because he can. You want more of this look at when he sperged out over chat demanding bubbles from him.
Yeah, Mike talked to RTU on stream yesterday and he said that he's met Phil and/or video chatted with him and he's "really professional" and seems easy to work with. Almost sounded like he's talking to the wrong Phil but who knows
Sounds like Phil is giving Mike the Hello Sir treatment. Lets see how long it lasts until he 180s and treats him like scum.

While I appreciate your candor, Mike, Phil isn't Boogie.

Boogie was willing to actually be a part of something, to get his story out, try something new, and was open to tell things about himself (fabricated or otherwise). DarkSydePhil however operates almost entirely on lies, obfuscation, and half-truths. DSP is right, and everyone else is wrong, despite sharing, reporting, and organizing YEARS of evidence from several of his videos, livestreams, Twitter/X posts, and even things we see and experience. He's the type of person who wants nothing more than to control the narrative in no matter what.

In your doing this is already a fruitless effort, because unless you're completely dick-riding him and making him look good, this will label you as just another detractor. And he'll lie about you and anything in this documentary. It won't matter what direction you take this documentary, because there is FAR more negative shit about him than positive. And Phil will see that as nothing more than another attack.

Do this documentary if you want, but don't think Phil is like Boogie. You're gonna have one hell of a ride, I'll tell you that.

Did Phil watch the Boogie documentary? Dude must be offering one hell of a payday or maybe Phil thinks he can actually come off as somewhat likeable compared to Boogie? Hell, he may be right considering Boogie can somehow make Jordie seem like kind of a cool guy in comparison.
Phil is really stupid.

Does he not realize that @mikeclum 's job was to direct Boogie in what he's done the past year to "revitalize his career"? https://clumcreative.com/

Phil seriously thinks everyone is dying to watch his life story on how he became a Youtuber and his passion in video games!

Spoiler alert: Any honest and unbiased documentary or interview, will always make you look like the petty loser you are, Dave!
Wrong moron, only the drama baiting nonsense made by loser morons with no skill because we all know Phil is an infalliable figure and the most prolific online content creator ever.
Poor Mike having to look through Derich's Twitter feed.
Funny how Adam INDEPENDENTLY formed an opinion based on clips shown to him that mirrored what we all know about you, Phil. You really just want to play Internet Tough Guy again and hide in the bathroom like a teenager when people come to kick the shit out of you for mouthing off.
Even more funny is Phil is so dense and retarded he convinced himself that from the start they were looking to make him look like an asshole when they couldn't have cared less about him before that. Literally any normal sane person can sit down, watch that interview, and watch as Craig and Adams's opinions on Phil go from neutral at worst to not believing a single word that comes out of his mouth, and it's hard to pinpoint when that switch flipped.

If this documentary is approached the same way boogie’s was, with the assumption that the viewer had to go into it with some vague notion of who boogie was and why he currently was in the situation that he was in, it’s not going to work for DSP.

Also, I’m still so fucking skeptical that Phil will provide insight into his bankruptcy financials or the WWEChampions saga, two issues which have come to dominate his reputation and pretty much everything to do with DSP, in terms of lies and obfuscation, what are we getting that wasn’t already regurgitated in the SS podcast interview?

Furthermore, after years of shielding his private life from everyone, all of a sudden DSP is comfortable bringing a camera crew into his house and interview his mo-wife? Even more skeptical, it’s so out of character for someone who had a meltdown over a rogue Comcast employee who mildly fucked with his network and acted like it was a coordinated Blackhat attack conducted by a foreign gov’t.

Has anyone seen anything by Mike before to suggest it would go one way or the other? Puff vs hit piece?

However I think if you give your subject any editing power at all then you’ve failed as a documentary maker. Your film has lost its integrity.
Well after he claimed that he capped off the segment by saying that if MyCum ends up making him look bad then he's a lying liar who lied and nobody will want to work for him ANYMOOOOOOOOOOORE because they'll be like "he tricked Phil, so he'll trick us too!!!" And that was the extent of his threat. Just like the first time he signed the Machinima contract he probably didn't read the fine print or he's making shit up to make himself seem more important than what he actually is.

If Mike has to play nice to get this inside look on Phil's life then I have no problem with it. People have been dying to see him interact with other adults in the same room and, apparently, here it is. Hope he gets to sit Kat down, and spend an entire day with The Guy. Whether Phil is allowed to shovel his shit all over this thing or not doesn't matter to me. I just want to see into his pig pen.

Wait...is this the thing Keemstar was talking about? Did he pay you to do this?

I have seen the Boogie documentary and holy fuck Boogie did this all to himself. Mike just had to put up a camera and record Boogies dumb takes. Even if Phil gets the final word his insane ramblings will just show how mentally retarded he is. And If (big if) he gives Mike a tour of his condo or even just lets him in for a stream this is gonna be glorious. Just imagine trolls would flood said stream and meme it up. Phil would have to really bite his tongue and the stream would be one constant LIMB. Or does anyone think ThinSkinPhil could keep his rage bottled inside for so long?

Hey Mike here is an idea: you did do a training job interview with Boogie right? Could you convince Phil to do the same? I know it won't be very likely but I just want to know what his job perspectives are at this point. Or perhaps do a walk outside his house to get a feel for how he is outside his streams as he has claimed he is doing "power walks" (x to doubt)

Just a few questions I'd like to see Phil answer I've never seen him pressed on before.

1. Phil likes to brush off criticism of himself by suggesting that he's changed over the years and modified his behavior. Often he bemoans the fact that detractors send clips of his 14 year old racist jokes to sponsors to ruin opportunities for him and this is no longer representative of his content. In the sidescrollers interview he seemed to suggest that they cherry picked another racist joke of his to use from only 9 months ago to confront him with and was no longer representative of his content.

The question I'd ask is in what timeframe are you allowed to hold Phil responsible for what he says and does? After how long do his actions conveniently get filed away under "That was in the past, I'm working to be better"?

2. Phil claims that he jacked off on stream because he was depressed. I've never seen anyone explore further what this means (probably because it's such a weird thing to say). Is he saying he was only jacking off to begin with because he was depressed or that his depression led him to purposely engaging in some bizarre danger wank scenarios like live on stream? If it's the latter has he masturbated in any other dangerous scenarios, such as in the line as Fred Meyer or something similar?

Just the boogie doc where Boogie's goal was to portray himself as a sack of shit for sympathy points. I don't think Mike challenged him that much really, like even on obvious stuff where Boogie said he lost 700K in crypto when really he got out of the market with basically what he put in.

Did have some creative shots, like when Boogie is crying poor while sitting in front of a wall of those overpriced Arcade1up cabinets.

The only hope for this documentary, assuming it's not a puff piece like the quartering interview is the following things:

1. When Mike said Phil looks over the final edit he just meant Phil can bitch about stuff but he'll put in whatever he wants.

2. Mike gets an interview with Leanna or Papa/Mama Burnell.

Otherwise it's jusy gonna be an extended prestream with a different background.

Mike said that Phil is fine with him interviewing everyone, including detractors.

Of course, until the time this is released, Mike is forced at gunpoint to say he loves Phil and his content.
or until Phail sees something that exposes him and demands it edited out.

Phil won't agree to that. Boogie did it because his goal with the documentary was to get sympathy for being a lazy piece of shit.

Phil's narrative is he's a motherfuckin success and will probably stream forever. Starting this year with dspahlitics where he reveals to us his brilliant political takes. My money is on him fence sitting so hard he gets impaled on one of the posts.

I have a lot of doubts and it feels like it's going to be more like the quartering interview, but I was also incredibly skeptical and said the Sidescroller interview would be a massive letdown and nothing burger, so I'm optimistically hoping I'll take the L again and we'll get some gold. There are definitely similarities in the way Phil is discussing things and Phil isn't exactly known for learning his lesson. Phil is also incredibly naive and gullible, all it takes is Mike saying "I'll be fair" and Phil will take that at face value.

I think the make or break is how much Mike does his homework. Sidescrollers worked largely because the cast took a bit of time to ask questions and look into Phil. My biggest concern is that, while Mike is doing that now, it sounds like he's been in communication with Phil for at least a little while before reaching out to anyone else, and some of the other people he mentioned talking to/being interested in talking to are really lackluster and don't actually know that much about Phil. It runs the risk of everything being firsthand lies from Phil, and 4th hand criticism from a game of detractor telephone where it's vague "I heard Phil spends thousands of dollars on video game skins" level of comments that Phil can actually debunk.

A Doody-tier detractor going on about Phil grooming an underage Leanna will give Phil the victim narrative he wants.
