I’m genuinely sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine what that must be like and the grief and emptiness you have been through. I think what would hurt the most would be the little things that would suddenly vanish, like having her reach over and squeeze my hand in the middle of the night, or the way she smiles at me when I come home from work. Even having an extremely supportive family or friend network wouldn’t begin to fill the void in my heart that my woman would leave if I lost her. It would take decades to heal. I don’t know how I would cope.
I say this because even though we’re both random autists online, you genuinely have my sympathy. Unlike DSP, who only pretends to care about you so long as you keep throwing him money to fund his gin and gatcha addiction.

That would be a rant about you and how pathetic your problems are if you didn’t give him money. He doesn’t give a shit about you, or your late wife, or anything beyond the tips you give him. He acts sympathetic because he knows that’s the most effective way to get your legitimately-earned money out of your bank account and into his. He is a narcissistic piece of shit that cares about nothing outside of himself.

There are far better and more productive places to spend your money. Save up and take a solo trip to Cancun. Go surf Waikiki. Gamble it on Wallstreetbets. Go on a road trip to the next state over. Blow it on a brand new 80 inch TV. If you’re gonna spend it, spend it on yourself on whatever shit you want. You’re an engineer, you worked hard to get here, at a minimum, you deserve to enjoy your success instead of sending it to a lying alcoholic e-beggar.
