Phil attracts so many people with genuine disabilities and mental illnesses, I just can't believe this gravitational pull of autism is just coincidence. You're often attracted to people with whom you share similarities; I genuinely believe that when speds find out about Phil, they instantly can relate to the guy given the many autistic tendencies and habits he displays on a daily basis.

Yeah I've considered people doing that as well but in this case the twitter account associated with him showed he had liked / replied to DSP's account in the past (before any donations)

And looks like the kid is in a rich family so he likely has a huge allowance or a trustfund.

I think they see/project themselves onto Phil. Phil has a very childish mentality, just like his fans. Also like his fans, he has "bullies" in the form of detractors. His fans are bitter like him and desperately want to be seen as successful and stick it to their bullies, but they can't, so they fight Phil's bullies and pretend to be his friend/doing something important by throwing their disability checks at him. The, and I use this term very loosely, "smarter" of the paypigs have learned that them throwing money can also led to them getting power in Phil's chat, so instead of having to live vicariously by fighting Phil's imaginary bullies, they get to become the bullies themselves and push people around in chat.

You're right about Phil not being a fan of their traits, but they live in denial until Phil actually calls them out. It's usually enough to snap them back to reality. Sometimes it sticks, other times they come crawling back after a few weeks when they manage to build up a denial tolerance again. This is pure tinfoil hat speculation, but I wouldn't be surprised if some of them have bad nights, decide to try and distract themselves with Twitch and crawl back to him because they want to feel better, but can't actually defend themselves from whatever is bothering them, so they go back to throwing quarters at Phil to make it feel like they're doing something productive.

I'd also wager some of them just have a contrarian mindset. The "mainstream" says Phil sucks, so they decide to like him. Phil constantly shits on games everyone else, or at least a fair amount of people would normally call "popular" which makes the contrarian crowd hate it. It lasts up until Phil finally stumbles into the game/franchise they like, then when he shits on it, they get all pissy. Pretty sure that's what happened with Swaggins. I think it was during Sekiro and then one of the Resident Evil remakes were Swaggins clearly seemed to like the games and was trying to handhold Phil, but Phil was too stupid to follow directions and started ranting about the game, which made Swaggins finally stop tossing quarters at Phil, despite being one of the bigger donators. You could even argue he started to show signs of seeing the truth when Tut came in and made him feel like less of a big guy, since he was donating way more than him.

DSP's fleecing of various mentally... vulnerable people is the only thing DSP-related that can actually bothers me, and one specific case has actually made me angry. I would think most streamers would try to restrict how much people could donate once they learned certain things about who their paypigs are while still "pahstively interackting" with them the same amount, but he not only accepts their money but feigns poverty to scam more from them. It's a genuinely loathsome thing to do. Even in best case scenarios he willingly turns a blind eye to it.

It's right in line with the one thing I've seen from DSP that was actually infuriating and not pathetically hilarious: when he had a fan in a game with him on voice chat with an obvious speech impediment, his chatroom starts to make fun of the poor kid and DSP reads chat and laughs along, forget banning people for mocking him. Truly bad human.

I remember that. You're talking about Lutherkujo. A few streams after that, Phil was playing a game with fans again. Lutherkujo asked in chat why he didn't get to play. He was the first person who asked to join. Sorry, kid. Phil only takes applications via email and idiot Luther asked via Twitter. Get fucked.

I felt a little bad for the guy at the time. How scummy to disqualify an obviously disabled fan from joining simply because he asked on the wrong platform. I decided to look into things.

I saw one request to play with Phil, but I thought this surely isn't poor Luther. It was named something like "Yiffing Nurgle" and it's page was nothing but homosexual furry porn. Just cartoon fox dicks everywhere. This has gotta be a troll account.

Then Lutherkujo came onto the farms and said, "Yeah, that's my account. I'm a bisexual furry".

After finding out that this was once again a disabled gay furry DSP fan, I no longer felt sorry for him at all.

These types of people aren't uncommon for streamers. Bigger ones have many. I think Twitch is just like a magnet for people with impulse spending issues.
"Oh it's fine if I just tip/cheer THIS much, its not a big deal".
Next thing you know you've forked over thousands of dollars to a guy who plays video games on camera just so he can read your message.

Was bored, decided to dox Phil's new WWE Faction.
Leader knows about Phil, but doesn't care. I guess he only cares about Phil's very open wallet.
