When I do feature DSP, they hate the users that visit the board. When PPP tries to ego up Phil for content, they hate him. When I agree to a game with Phil, they lash out at me.

Since silence is violence, I might as well say that for me personally, DSP is at his most entertaining when he interacts with people who aren't his chat, so this arc has been great. I also welcome DSP features and mentions on MATI. It's a shame that it's come to this again when it seemed like you were enjoying the khantent for a while.
I admit I was a bit surprised by the number of people who didn't know what Kino Casino was until Phil appeared on it, but a bunch of people saying they hate Phil being smug or KC for stroking his ego/boosting his income seems tame, especially if you think back to the Sidescrollers interview announcement and the reactions to that. I don't agree with them, but I don't consider it an offense that they don't find Phil funny in exactly the same way I find him funny.

Which really underscores how much DSP doesn't do? Not swinging, not doing cocaine, not exposing kids to cocaine, not blackout drunk stream after stream, not making weird diaper fetish jokes about disabled children, not friends with a blvk bvll who's grooming kids, not alleging grand governmental conspiracy against him.


I feel like there's this idea if only it was EXPLAINED to me that DSP did a bad thing I would care more, so I get EXPLAINED to a lot, which doesn't help because I've been around for 11 years and I know who DSP is, I was actively participating in a lot of discussion only a few years ago, and I've seen enough about him to know basically all the broad strokes. There's nothing you're going to EXPLAIN to me to make his last 6 hour stream playing a video game interesting. The things that are funniest about DSP do not need to be EXPLAINED. The panko bread crumb ants, the failure to turn on a computer and blaming people for sending him a custom made multi-thousand dollar machine for free - these, like almost all things, require no explanation.

Some things are made funny by a little EXPLANATION, but they're generally already funny.

On its face this is ridiculous, but when you EXPLAIN that he's actually dancing because he plead no contest to revenge pornography charges brought by the mother of his only son, was convicted and sentenced to no jail time, and he is saying it was literally God's plan to keep him out of jail so he could flee to Mexico and then abuse the horse sitting next to him, it makes it a little bit more interesting.


This one clip of Ralph is several years old and is still funny. There's perhaps a single equitable clip from DSP: the Final Fantasy 13 unboxing. He's unboxing a game with a smoke alarm going off. He could wait, but he chooses not to. It's called an unboxing, but he doesn't unbox it on camera. Why was DSP filming an unboxing video with a fire alarm going off and why doesn't he unbox the subject of the video? It was God's plan. Everything DSP has ever done since this moment has been less interesting.

There's almost no substance to DSP as a lolcow at this point. He's like 40, he's calmer, he's married, and while he's very incompetent and inflexible, he rarely treads outside of his comfort zone. Not being willing to set up a free computer was one of those things he did on his own with help of his supporters, no detractors involved.

You can say this about a lot of people though, Scalfani and Tomlinson are married and normalish. All three have very similar personalities. One plays video games poorly, the other cooks poorly, and the last one writes poorly while all of them are telling you they're the opposite. It's funny. At least Tomlinson and Scalfani aren't asking for handouts constantly over the past 10 years. This proves scientifically that DSP is more of a lolcow than Jack Scalfani or Patrick Tomlinson.

And no, every streamer does not ask for money in the same way that DSP does. That's absurd. Almost nobody does, and if they do they get made fun of for it, Badbunny coming to mind.

1) KF has become more about shitting on actually terrible people like child abusers, sexual freaks, trannies, etc... DSP is a stupid asshole always e-begging, lying about pedantic nonsense, and sucks at games. He's relatively harmless which we all agree on. If you think that's no longer worthy of lolcow status, then remove his section.

Yeah he's definitely past the point where he needs a whole-ass subforum since the people surrounding him aren't nearly as numerous or interesting today and it being a subforum is what contributes to its insular status.

Back in 2017 when the subforum came up you had shit like the SoK trying to gatekeep all Phil content despite lots of them being potential cows themselves, more TIHYDP content since Phil still actually played games without stalling or hours long prestreams, notable mods like BSV getting into shit, the escort saga, Leanna actually having an online presence of her own, way way more retarded fans, etc. Just tons of small side-stories that encompass the greater sphere of Phil's infamy that you just don't see today.

Discussion of Phil's day-to-day antics can easily just stay in the main thread now that he's been over the hill since the bankruptcy. The only reason the main thread accelerated in posts-per-day the way it did in recent years is because post-covid dipshits treated it more like a live-react chat and made it unreadable in the process.

It's good for containment, at least. Same principle as not breaking up crime ridden ghettos because their residents would just spread crime everywhere if they were relocated.

Even that excuse falls short now since most of them fucked off to wherever after the January bannings.

I think that the discussion about comparing lolcows is irrelevant, and the idea of closing this board somewhat capricious.

So DSP fits the profile of what a "lolcow" is, he is generally boring (specially nowadays), and extremely boring to outsiders, but that is ultimately subjective, and a bunch of people find his narcissistic, greedy and lacking in self-awareness behaviour worthy to follow and mock.

He may be not as bad as Ethan (or other), but he is still a scammer, not only to his paypigs but his audience. Which as pointed out in one of the posts above, is what separates him from other streamers.

This has nothing to do on whether he is entertaining/boring (or that it's lesser than being a sexual offender for example), but is one of the reasons why people coming to this board calling him just bad at videogames end up in heated arguments on here.

I just want you to know that his lies aimed at manipulating his audience not only work on paypigs, there are genuine followers that stumble upon him and start watching his content, then, without any context/info from the outside (like from Kiwifarms), they end up believing his fake tears & repeated acts of financial distress and lies, and their contributions aimed to help him in supposedly serious times of need, get burned in a gacha, something he vehemently denies spending money on.

That is indeed a scam, and I know these people exist since I've talked to some of them, once they learn the truth, they disassociate themselves from DSP. Until then, they're just being used.

I completely understand not finding DSP interesting. I get it. But, if you not finding him interesting is worthy of a nuke, you should nuke 80% of the site. This is the problem I'm seeing here every time the "is DSP a real lolcow?" debate rears its ugly downie head again. There's nothing wrong with Null thinking DSP is boring and undeserving of a board or whatever because he's at least slightly familiar with the subject.
