Why are you expecting a reward for supporting the thread. You support the thread because you want to support it.

10,000 pages, and the thing he'll be remembered most for, is this:

He's defined by that moment and he is far too keenly aware of it. For all his "joking" about it, he hates it. His Twitter banner proves it.

Think about everything he's "tried" to do since then: the vest streak, his variety streaming, his "opposition" to sponsorships. And what is he remembered for? his one time he let his guard down. The one time he was caught, metaphorically speaking, with his pants down.

It's obvious why he wants people to forget. As long as it's what people remember about him, he'll always be seen as a joke, the bottom of the totem pole. Especially when compared to where he was at the beginning of his "career".
