I'm watching the latest Snort of him talking about the drama for the 300th time after saying he doesn't care and man he really isn't letting up this victory dance.

He's gloating that 'detractors' are apologizing personally to him in droves and implying that they may even be giving him money.

I hope nobody around here is this stupid.
No worries here. I only give money to good streamers who aren't retarded and have a life.

yes he said "nigga" during that playthrough. Sorry forget to add his chat was discussing PDP so he started singing things like "secret asian man".
I dare him to do that around backs and asians, he would get his shit pushed in.
Speaking of which, can't wait to see his asshole get blown out during the destiny 2 raid he so wants to do. He has no clue on what he is in for since he ignored the first game after playing the beta. (At least i think he did.)

He is lying, after Fred fuck up even the detractors are getting bored of him, there is going to come a moment when he is going to be streaming alone to entertain bots

It is sad but I could see it happening. Not in droves of course Phil loves his over exaggerations, but if people hopped off the Dsp bandwagon to Sok because of Phil's behaviors the same could theoretically happen in reverse. It may be more of Phil browsing things like Twitter and Kiwi and seeing people say Fred made Phil look good and right etc.

Phil continuing his little victory jig at 2.45 and 6.12. "I don't care!"

Phil is shutting off his comments for good. Comments are probably the #1 metric for judging a channels engagement, so DSPGaming sinks lower in the ranking.

He's lighting a match and dumpster firing Youtube now that he has Twitch. The inconvenience and threat to his ego outweigh the money he's getting and he doesn't think he needs it anymore and he can safely shut down those nuisance comments. Its all about instant gratification and low effort.

What a coincidence on the day Youtube updates their guidelines to demonetize videos with negative comments. Why not just say that's why instead of lies about people being scared away from those mean internet comments. If you are going to try to put yourself above other Youtubers in your next paragraph you probably should not blatantly lie to your fans in the previous paragraph.

I surely can't be the only who thought of the SoK as someone who did streams making fun of Phil and otherwise had nothing to do with my thoughts on him? The attitude of some people in the wake of their collapse seems akin to saying "the biggest Game of Thrones fan club shut down...so they might as well cancel the show as no one will be watching it anymore."

Am I missing something?

the conceit as far as i'm aware is that the SOK was a centralization of detractors, aided by Fred being his warhawk-vet-in-peacetime-ass self with keeping the hate heat on Phil.

with the loss of that centralization everything's in flux, and with that there's definitely gonna be some people (ex: Moogle) who simply bore of following Phil. and it's understandable, Phil's kind of in a rut when it isn't the beginning or the end of a month.

it's definitely way too extreme to suggest he'll see a stark decrease in viewership but it absolutely won't surprise me to see this downward trend continue.

The fact there are people who take Phil's words 100% true and to the heart. What baffles me that outside of Phil's fans there are people who white knight Phil, close their eyes from all the shit he has done and reduce any and all arguments from detractors as "You're just mad 'cause he's shit in video games". You rarely see this kind of support for lolcows.

This still leaves me confused as what exactly SoK did as the centralized group (other than give a name to Phil's bogeyman) and how's it's endinga affects the detractors in a major way. Two weeks ago people made detractor videos, streams, posts and occasionally trolled Phil--some of these people were members of the SoK. Today these same people (mostly) will do the same things except none of them will be members of the SoK.

When Phil does his "analysis" of the demonetization of his videos, and inevitably comes to some stupid conclusions, there will still be videos, streams and postings and no one will say "I'd like to comment on this piece of DSP buffoonery, but I don't know what to do without the SoK!"

I think an effect of the SoK fallout is a lot of people, even regular viewers such as myself, see how seriously we started taking the shit. I'll be the first to admit I became really a-loggy over Phil, in large part due to that podcast. Luckily, learning about Kiwi Farms, reading & understanding the why behind the forum rules here helped me check my own cringy behavior. I'd be concerned a continuation of the podcast might lead to more such behavior in the future. With a dedicated podcast talking about 1 person, I think a natural consequence is over time people start taking shit way too seriously. I see it continuing even now with Fred. A ton of people who were not personally affected by Fred are sitting around calling for blood. They want to DESTROY him. He didn't do anything personally to me. He doesn't need to apologize to me. I don't care. His identity, the most precious thing he has, has been ripped away from him. Now he's just another nobody. That's enough. It's over.

That all being said, I'm sure a Phil centric podcast will continue in some form. And I'll be there, listening. Hopefully they just don't take the shit so goddamn seriously.
