There also seems to be some weird assumptions about how Phil/Leanna would react in such a situation. Phil has stated that he wants kids. Leanna has stated that she doesn't, that she hates children, and would have an abortion if she got pregnant.

Is it possible that Phil actually just wants people to be nice to him? It's pretty clear that he's starting to break, and he's said several times now that he doesn't have any friends. He might just be desperate enough where he's painting himself as a victim to get pity points from his audience. It also has the added benefit of bringing in more donations too. I really think it's more of an attention thing, he's egging it on further by saying shit like "nobody has actually guessed it yet, but I'm still not going to tell you even though I am acknowledging that I'm aware you're all talking about it."

Usually with Phil, the vaguer he is about something, the more full of shit he is. Phil has shown in the past that he has no problem openly discussing his problems, like with Machinama. If he was being audited by the IRS, he'd be kicking and screaming about it and talking about bugged tax laws or something. Something with the condo association seems a little more likely, and I could see him not naming them specifically because he doesn't know how to spin it yet into it being their fault and not his. But even then, I feel like he'd be complaining about their policies being unclear, or him being too busy to adhere to them or whatever.

The "not a business" claims are a little weird, but I think he might just be trying to paint himself as the underdog. He's not a business, he's just an innocent gout ridden dood trying to make it in the world, but all these detractors keep getting in the way of his self employment. Basically, he's trying to humanize himself.

My money is still on the audit situation. He just knows that admitting that in any way will cause more trouble than if he denies it for now.

Yeah, if Phil said 'Hey guys, please pay my back taxes', it just opens the floodgates for collectors to really analyze his earnings- no amount of crying 'tips' will stop that gun if it's shot. He pretty much has to stick to encouraging people to 'participate' for now.

I think Phil may have anxiety he will start to get panic attacks and isolate himself more if that is the case. He described the empty feeling common in anxiety in his latest drama/ e-begging video.

There's no need to throw out a diagnosis every time someone exhibits normal feelings. It doesn't take the DSM-5 to explain his weight gain-he's a fat pig who likes to eat and no one is moderating it now. He can't sleep because people that are a physical mess have sleeping problems. Maybe he even misses Leanna. Now he's sad and anxious because something is threatening his plans and financial future. Seems perfectly normal.

If I were to offer an amateur diagnosis it would be that he is a delusional egocentric man-baby asshole.

The fact he doesn't actually exercise probably leads to a lot of his issues (stress, anxiety, depression, sleep issues, awake issues, diet issues, anger/frustration issues, physical issues).

I can pretty much bet money that if he ever went to see a head doctor his prescription on the first day would be to go to a gym because it would help with most of the shit.

He's been on the verge of a financial meltdown for a number of years and if the IRS asks for money then he's pretty much fucked cause he'll never be able to get out of that hole.

Let's face it if something is actually going on and he went into detail there are some people who follow Phil drama that would not hesitate to send any information to the IRS, his condo association, his bank, etc to help put the screws to him. I saw a recent prestream and phil blamed the copyright strike saga for how bad it is, and while it's partly true it seems stupid to assume he'd keep that frontpage presence had he not gotten those.
Phil foolishly believes that things would be fantastic and swimmingly right now if he hadn't taken down those videos and get pushed back in the search. He ignores that;
a. other people gained views faster than him which would've pushed him further back in the catalog.
b. youtube is constantly changing how and why and where videos are displayed .
c. the changing trends of youtube and the views he often got from those videos were just one time viewers that left the moment they saw the videos.

It sucks that he lost those videos and got pushed back when he did, but he shouldn't point to that one thing and go, this is the only reason things go bad, this one thing is why i'm fucked.

Let's face it if something is actually going on and he went into detail there are some people who follow Phil drama that would not hesitate to send any information to the IRS, his condo association, his bank, etc to help put the screws to him. Not judging anyone to each their own, but it is the truth.

My guess is with the recent SoK drama he figured he could push this on SoK and frame them as the sole reason his youtube channel sank, I guess Phil is looking for a stereotypical cartoon tier villain and the SoK after what has come out it gives credibility to the whole "SoK ruined my career" narrative. So he ran with that. But yeah phil being a hypocrite and constantly backtracking doesn't surprise me in the least.
