Phil is ramping up the begging, every 15 minutes now.
Curiously he said that in addition to tipping, you could pledge to his Patreon. Phil stressed that nobody has done that in a few days.
Someone says if they did that, there would be no popups. Phil says that he might read it out if someone pledged. How would he know? He'd have to see your message that you did it I guess? He says he doesn't know if notifications would work in stream elements. He has not actually tried it though.

The real question is, if I dropped $50 on Patreon right now, would he stop bitching about not hitting the tips goal tonight?
His fans are not that stupid. They know those are two separate things. Just like $3000 in cheers does not mean we can miss the $100 stream tip goal.

$127 to end. $51 from OiC. Once again, dependent on whales but... they've been faltering a little here. Jakileez was on stream and didn't do anything but a $4.20 tip earlier. Oddly, Phil was more doom and gloom at the 10 minute mark then he was when cutting stream. I'm curious if we'll get a sadsack tweet.

In other news, I don't understand getting mad at MLB when you play the way Phil does. He barely understands the mechanics, it is meant to be a chill stream, and winning or losing the game is 90% contingent on the sim he fast forwards anyway...
And it wasn't just the low tips, this used to happen when he played before and tips weren't the meme they are now.
Plus he said yesterday when he lost his mind at Divinity that MLB is chill, relaxing, and a way to talk to fans. And then he still gets angry when he loses and says his SIM team sucks. The man just cannot hold an L.

Because he's 39 or whatever and literally does not know what it means to be an adult with an actual adult life where he balances a job with a personal life. He's Steve Carell's character in "40 Year Old" virgin, but instead of describing titties, he's describing adulthood.

I honestly would feel bad for DSP at this point if he were literally trying anything to make himself more watchable and give back to his audience in the slightest. But here he is, the Titanic that is his career has long since hit the iceberg and he can't even be arsed to do any market research or throw gimmicks at a wall to try and make it worth saving him, he's just arms crossed saying that it's not his fault that he doesn't have cool emotes or penne points anymore so you have to give him money anyway and he might think about upgrading his patreon rewards some day.

At this point it's a great archive of his stupidity, his 'x year legacy' if you will, but I'd still love to see YouTube delete a bunch of his old vidya vids just to piss him off.

I remember I used to picture him sitting down at the kitchen table late into the night, glasses (complete with the neck chain) on, individually writing checks for each bill, then hand-addressing envelopes and appropriately stamping each one, a hand written accounting spreadsheet in front of him, tracking each expense. I think he saw his parents doing this at some point in the 90s and assumes this is how everyone sees it or something, not realizing that everyone has switched to online payments. Like he must have.

It's also a problem with how badly he has exposed his timelines for paying bills. It's the 28th. Phil has established, by way of begging, that his internet, condo dues, and mortgage payment are likely all due somewhere in the first 15 days of the month. That leaves maybe 5 other bills that need to be paid in the latter half of the month. Even if he could only pay one single bill each night, that still leaves him 10 bill-free nights in the second half of each month. He isn't doing some weird juggling of his credit card bills and debts anymore, so his bills can't even take him as long as they used to. He has no options except to just pay them outright.

I really don't think he realizes how batshit insane he looks when he screams about paying bills every single day.

Yea, he stopped wearing it after Panda left. I think it was a gift from Panda? It's the only reason, in my mind, why he would almost wear it constantly in the pandalee era and then just drop it.

I actually meant the old-lady glasses chain that lets you keep your glasses around your neck, but good point.

Phil has stopped wearing his chain and never acknowledged the absence of the chain that he used to wear. When people ask him, they repeatedly refer to it as a gold chain, allowing Phil to play semantics and say that he never owned a gold chain.
The chain was silver, so he's just always swerved the question.
