Mass Effect is one of the few series in vidya that I do believe he genuinely still enjoys. Couple that with the fact that he loves wasting money and it's a sure thing he'll play it. They even removed Miranda ass shots for him so he can refrain from being an offended married man crying on the internet for all of two seconds.

Too bad Steve Cortez is still there to tempt him to the Dark Syde. Again.

Unironically a good stream dynamic, and Leanna plays a very solid straight man to Phil's idiocy. Even Rambo didn't give him this much shit. Of course his ego couldn't take having her around more. Kat would just be the Tweedle Morahn to his Tweedle Stoopit. One of my favorite TIHYDPs. Then again, that was already Panda growing out of her She-Fadil phase and becoming a real hooman bean.

The real reason is to look like the victim forever, and pretend that it doesn't get him down, but you should totally still feel bad enough for him that you tip him some money. A walking contradiction, as always.

You have a lot of faith in his ability to construct a narrative. I genuinely believe he thinks he needs more money. It's why I pretty quickly bought the Champions story. Because he can't fucking lie to save his life. But he was always crying poor. Thus I believe he thinks the King of Hate moniker is this badass persona he created to show that he was better than all those people. There is no careful thought and planning. He thinks he's tough, but he also cries because he's a bitch.

Yeah, I know he still moves about a fair bit during streams, which is why I'm thinking it's his emotions about streaming contributing to it. Sometimes he's so still he looks dead, but that can mean that he's just too tired or not having one of his bad stimming days. I'm sure it comes and goes, his need to rock and sway and pose like crazy, as does his ability to keep from giving in. And like with a lot of people and their tics, his mood is a factor.

The thing I find most interesting, though, is the fact that he doesn't talk about it, ever. The things he bitches about are so numerous, yet that has stayed off the list this whole time, no matter how much detractors discuss it and make fun of him.

Very telling, but what does it tell us, exactly?

He's certainly been rocking on streams much more this year, not sure if it's from stress or just when he forgets to act 'normal'.

Well, this has been a pretty stressful year for him, and that's just the stuff we know about. I have no doubt there is more where that came from, especially with how he keeps mum about his stimming and his teeth in spite of it being a subject of discussion.

Also, didn't he deny filing for bankruptcy for a bit? I know he didn't want the details being public, that's for sure. Either way, certain things clearly bother him enough to make him keep his big mouth shut about them, which contrasts highly with when he loses at Street Fighter, or isn't the center of chat's attention.

It's telling that this is the same guy who told the internet the hospital story...

So his shrubs had started growing into his fireplace exhaust and he didn't even notice and the house could have burned down when they turned it on in winter? Jesus Christ imagine living next door to this personification of a disaster just waiting to happen.

I wonder what that outside area looks like now, since his parents have been around for quite some time to do his big boy homeowner chores for him. Probably looks like fucking Jumanji by now.

I meant that his stimming came up in this thread as a topic of discussion yesterday. No clue if he stimmed on-stream yesterday.

What some people were wondering in the comments of the original reddit post is what interests me more: does the timing of his stimming in the video indicate stress in his relationship with Kat? (I realize that might be reaching, but I do remember around the time the video was originally posted - late March - there had been speculation as such regarding the two of them.)

Thanks for this, not even 10 minutes into part 1 and Leanna is shitting all over him, mocking his lack of knowledge about Italian names, this is amazing. Somehow I've never seen these before.

I disagree one point slightly. I am in the camp that Phil never actually had a personality it's a character. He is basically every stereotype of the d-bag bully from the 80s and 90s TV and movies.

do yall even remember how shitty Dave was feeling when Panda left? Mfker BOUGHT PLANTS, and he was on edge so fucking much and that's why we got the Wardog thing (I believe that's his name) about making yourself a sandwich and being the "king of suffering"

if Kat left you would be able to easily see his facial expressions freak out if you mention her, but he's just mostly normal in that regard last time I checked

You bring up John and have Phil look at videos with him involved and you just see a man that looks like his friend just died, and you even bring up Pandalee and this man avoids it like the plague, but Kat is just business as always (i.e. Kat is making mushroom egg soup casserole salad for the 6th time this week it's delicious blah blah blah)

Not to mention that his begging would be turned up to 11 if Kat was gone, talking about losing a second stream of income, how he doesn't have time to do x,y, and z for the streams or patreon because he has to make breakfast, lunch, dinner, and every chore under the sun, and let's be frank: DSP would not be the one keeping Jasper. If DSP was a pet person, he'd have some type of pet throughout the last decade but he didn't.

I can somewhat buy the argument that Kat and DSP aren't really as close as a married couple would typically be, or even that Kat and DSP sleep in different beds and shit lol, but I think once you start to make the argument that Kat just isn't there I think you've lost the plot a little bit (and obviously I'm not saying this specifically about OP, I've seen this theory a few times already)

Now the last thing I'd like to mention before I'm hit with TMI is that Kat doesn't want to be on the streams and knowing how whipped Phil is, he wouldn't dare suggest otherwise. This man's political philosophy about the economy and whatever the fuck else has changed because of Kat. Him acting like anything even remotely sexual is an unforgivable sin is because of Kat. DSP calls this bitch "mom." Little bit of a stretch here but mothers are figures of authority and that may be partially why DSP views her as such, but nonetheless, DSP is under the control of Kat and it's really clear of that.

edit: also DSP's expression when Kat came into the room when the bankruptcy people showed up to his house, looked like a total sub there...if anybody got that clip that'd be great to post btw (hint hint)
