I'm somewhat weirded out by the irrational level of hate directed toward this guy. You do realize someone in a school shooting, whatever level of involvement they had, is going to be freaked the fuck out by it and maybe react irrationally, right? I think that’s actually a way more common sentiment than just our friend here. If they haven’t worked with some sort of tech in the past or visited sites with older sensabities, most kids haven’t really dealt with anything beyond Youtube, clickbait sites, or overtly censorious social media conglomerates. David Hogg, and the new string of activists like him, genuinely don’t get how the internet works. The hatred should be directed at the people who don’t encourage David to deal with his trauma in healthier ways but instead surround him with their toxic “with us or against us” mindset, especially those people exploiting him and the others.
