So here' s the thing I keep coming back to in this Aurini and Owen thing, why the hell did anyone give these two dumbasses money. And before anyone responds with because Anita is scum or full Macintosh. I would like to point in the direction you just came from. We know all of this shit already it's documented. sure their are people who still believe that they have credit but still do you take them seriously. the people who supported The Sarkeesian Effect are litreally the biggest wasters out there.
This is why I pretty much don't support gamergate or anti-feminsits/sjw's because when you look hard enough you seen the same elements of the people they oppose

The fact that Aurini managed to fool Sargon of Akkad into supporting his dumb ass for a bit should really tell you just how gullible and ignorant many many people in the Manosphere, Gamergate, and anti-feminist circles are. Of course as you saw in the screenshots I took, Sargon caught onto his scam but he's one of those guys that always tries to present himself as a rational figure in his videos. He even got Thunder00t interviewed in that piece of shit documentary too and he didn't know the full extent of Aurini's background or past. I really think it boils down to this facade Aurini puts on as an intellectual person who's credible. Jordan fucking Owen was dumber than those two but he eventually woke up and realized who he was dealing with.
Oh Sargon caught on.
About a month later and even then he claimed that he didn't want to give him the publicy for his shitty actions.

I hate to admit this, but it's true. Sargon and Thunderf00t only backed out at the last possible moment, despite the fact that there was plenty of evidence that Aurini was crazy. Shows how much they're willing to tolerate from people as long as their opinions happen to align.
Probably not, this guy thinks that all sex is basically a bargain and that "all women are whores". He doesn't seem to have a lot of respect for Christianity. These people might be worth their own thread though.

That's what I've been thinking too. As long as they promote their positions, they'll only give a shit when it starts to affect their YouTube subs and ad revenues. That's part of the reason why they make videos even though I'm sure both of them do other things outside YouTube. I know Thunderf00t does scientific research at a university last time I checked. They have to maintain their Adsense and keep those donations coming and I guess the backlash against Aurini had grown enough to get them to notice and change their minds.
but that's really what makes me hate them just as much as the sjw side.
All of Gamergate other manosphere/gamergate/mra dicks stayed mum about.
I stand by this being awful and something that people involved in gamergate should have adressed the moment. Jordon should have had a lot of people coming to his side. I'll never say nice things about the guy but qutie frankly when some has the balls to stand up and do the right thing. with him realising slandering anita was going to be despicable and in the end pretty much lost a lot of an audience. But at the end he deicded that it really needed to be about ethics.

People fell for this scheme because much like SJWs they are people and are prone to being dumb. Everything seems like a great idea at the time (especially if it conforms to your previously existing biases) until you learn what you should've realized in the first place. The whole idea with SJWs and anti-SJWs and MRAs and all of that shit is basically now that groups with like-minded attitudes tend to conglomerate and support each other so long as it ends up with some sort of product that directly criticizes and belittles anything that antagonizes them. It's pretty much sad and pathetic at this point, since the groups are mostly at this point focusing on anything that attacks their opposition and supports their worldview no matter how dubious the claim is. So long as you look slightly presentable enough, people aren't willing to dig too deep into your claims to see if you're lying out of your goddamned ass or are as credible as a kleptomaniac. It's really the only reason why massive, hypocritical shills like Aurini or Wu (for both ends) can even still exist or have an audience.

The SJWs and anti-SJWs are just two teams playing the same game: keyboard warriors raising a big fuss about shit that doesn't matter to anyone outside their little groups. I would have never heard of Sarkeesian if the anti-SJWs weren't shouting her name from the rooftops as if she was Ilsa, She-Wolf of the SJWs. Aurini and Owen's "documentary" had as much chance of going down in the annals of history as one of my dog's farts, and yet they somehow believed they would be doing a media tour of the Daily Show an Red Eye after the film's release.

Both the pro and anti-SJW and GG movements have basically have their causes hijacked and ruined by extremists and idiots. Aurini is certainly not the first person to try and attack someone of the opposite cause with less-than-genuine methods. I think you're taking him a bit too seriously as some sort of threat. He's a bit of a scummy fuck who just happened to look presentable enough to get enough very notable people behind what he was selling, but he's certainly not "the end of GamerGate" or any ridiculous thing like that if he had succeeded. If hyperbole and stupidity were enough to collapse an entire movement then Brianna Fucking Wu should have been the end of the Anti-GG movement.

As for the condemnation being late, Aurini only became well known fairly recently. Thunderf00t only gave an interview because he was acquainted with Owens and thought of him as an agreeable sort. Aurini was beneath his radar. Not to mention that for all the crazy shit Aurini says, if you stumble across certain pieces rather than others, you'd never know how deep the rabbit hole goes. His article about Samus and Metroid, for instance actually read like something someone who doesn't huff paint thinner would write. Until you notice it was posted on Reaxxion.
Hell, to a degree, you can say the same thing about Anita. Most people who know about her haven't the faintest clue about her boyfriend blaming September 11th on America. Anita also knows enough to not get caught in public tarding it up to the degree of said boyfriend. Aurini's too egotistical even for that.

The Sarkeesian effect was by far the funniest thing to come out of the GG side of things. The drama/breakups between the two of them especially, but also the idea that this "serious hard-hitting documentary" would blow the lid off of the whole Sarkeesian thing. Even if by some inconceivable miracle, it was a fucking masterpiece, that would be like saying [random Michael Moore documentary] would end Republicans forever.
My favorite part of the drama between those two was all the weird shit Aurini would say about triggering Owen, manipulating him, like he's doing some sort of weird MRA/PUA psychological Jedi mind trick (the same one he uses on women to totally get laid all the time and never be rejected ever, unless, ironically enough, she's a slut) on Owen and he's totally in the palm of his hand and this is all part of his master plan. Owen doesn't seem like that bad of a person in and of himself, he's just really socially awkward and a phenomenally bad judge of character.
