The character interactions between the Trinity at the end of Kingdom Come was gold.
Even though he is a wacko troon or whatever IRL, I like Morrison's depictions of Superman too
>Silver Age nostalgiafagging by zealots who actually screech at any change. Don't get me wrong, bad ones deserve to be called out, but one shouldn't just bitch about things cause it's different. I'm just saying, people shouldn't be horrified at the sacrilege of Snyder removing Superman's briefs (this actually happened). It's not new or limited to DC, I've seen people bitch about Aunt May being a AILF in new Spiderman films.
Silver Age Nostalgia fagging even still is a thing? I assume mozst criticism and nostalgiafagging was from the Post Crisis camp who hated New 52 and thus by extension DCEU. DCEU Superman's design is based on New 52 Superman who was a pretty unlikeable prick and his kryptonian armor design was pretty jarring and ugly. Rebirth Superman had no briefs for a short time and looked much better. This is more the sacrelige of New 52 DC kind of sucking and Snyder deciding to base Superman on New 52 than Snyder's own creative liberties.

I'd still take the edgier New 52 shit over what ever the hell is going on in DC right now with all of its faggotry and diversity nonsense.

Some criticism are semi-understandable. Other's just mostly cumulate into the fact that some people:

>Watched the Theatrical Cut, which was WB's fault.

>Marlel trannies bitching about their "superior" capeshit.

>Nolan fanboys overrating their fairly great movies as the "only existing Batkino" ever made.

>Silver Age nostalgiafagging by zealots who actually screech at any change. Don't get me wrong, bad ones deserve to be called out, but one shouldn't just bitch about things cause it's different. >Literal contrarian bullshit just for the sake of it.

>People turning a very good & valid critique of source accuracy, into the most bullshit & hypocritical way possible.

The movie has flaws, some minor, some kinda major. But god-fucking-damn I've seen some shit between nitpicking & making shit up. That said, some people just didn't like cause they didn't like it, If they're not into it, no one should blame them.
What about the DCAU fanboys who just want everything to be Timm and Dini’s renditions of the characters. I feel like they also have to be a camp as they usually crawl out to attack DC’s works past the DCAU, animated or non.

At this point they have to be banking on the idea that people will hate-watch or support it out of a need to virtue signal. Controversy as marketing, etc. I can't fathom why else they would implement such a significant and retarded change to a relatively well-liked/well-known character. Who is this for?
people like the one in your profile pic probably, that or the "WB is secretly being paid by Disney to sabotage itself" Shizo theory is actually true

I'm not at all surprise this version of Carter Hall (Hawkman) is race swapped. It seems this movie didn't want Black Adam as the only non-white character in the main cast. I also won't be surprised if articles of supposed "toxic fans" who are upset about this race change are written. Just once I want to see a filmmaker or someone in the comic industry troll the woke mob by saying they're taking a non-white IP and making a version of them that is white.

Like what this guy who had fun trolling people with depiction of Black Panther.

I've seen that before but it never fails to impress. A true masterclass in trolling.

Anyway, I thought the trailer didn't look too bad. But I'm honestly surprised that with his background as a slave and well, the name being BLACK Adam, that this is one of the characters they didn't race-bend and cast a non-White actor. Especially as, IIRC, Black Adam is from Bronze Age Egypt and lots of African Americans seem to believe that the Ancient Egyptians were Black.

iirc people have been saying Rock should be Black Adam since he started doing movies if not earlier

Not just African-Americans it is also white Americans to believe only Sub-Saharan negroids lived in Egypt and Northern Africa all of its history. Nevermind the recorded history the Egyptians, and their non-jogger North African, Middle Eastern, European and iirc Abyssinian neighbors kept.

I'm sure this has been said a thousand times at this point, but given how hard Warner Bros and DC were rushing to ape what the MCU was doing, it's almost a nice surprise they didn't announce a Batman-Who-Laughs movie or TV series. Now's the "perfect" time to launch a big multiverse shit with cameos like Nic Cage as Superman or Tom Hardy Bane, plus force Watchmen into the DCEU.

Nobody tell him what race The Rock is.

Nick Cage Superman did happen in the TTGO film, Unless given to the right person, both Nolan's Bane & Snyder's Watchmen will be ruined. Unless we're talking about the HBO Watchmen, then it's a confirmed shit-show anyway.

Oh god, I meant Watchmen in any capacity. I didn't even consider them trying to make either of the Watchmen adaptations canon.

Genuinely thought he was White and just tanned a lot. He lives in California after all. I know White people darker than him just from living in hot climes. So looking at Wikipedia his dad was Black and Irish and his mum was Samoan (who are White-ish).

Okay, so I learned something today. I'm still slightly surprised they didn't cast an actual Black actor in the role given that Egypt is in Africa and half of people in the USA seem to think that means it was filled with sub-saharan Africans). The Rocks a good actor anyway. Or at least great in the sort of roles he gets. I'm optimistic about the movie.

EDIT: Apropos of nothing I was having a debate with an Afro-Centrist who believe the Ancient Egyptians were Black. He was going through the usual stuff - selective excerpts and misreading of Herodotus, that one tomb they excavated where there were brothers and one of the brothers had some Black DNA, etc. Then the pyramids came up and he straight up said: "We used them to travel places". Don't ask me if he meant they were some sort of dimensional doorway or if he thought they upped and flew around because at that point others were showing up and I checked out.
