No idea, but a reboot is certainly a better chance than continuing the clusterfuck they have going right now.

I don't think there is hate for Margot or Cena, but keeping them while ditching Cavill because they need a "total reboot" or whatever is going to have this universe start off with some bad blood from Cavil fans and just in general have another bad mark which DC doesn't need right now.
Not disrespecting either, but if they would reboot DCEU, they have to get someone else to play Harley Quinn if that's the case.

Apparently 2 things have happened since.

1: It's confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter that Henry Cavill is exec producing & starring in a Warhammer 40k live action. However, it's with Amazon, I know the first thing that comes to head is that they made the shitty LotR: Rings of Power & The Wheel of Time series, but they also made Reacher & The Terminal List. So, pray that Henry's executive producer post actually means something.

2: Patty Jenkins has left DC with a statement that just sugarcoats the fact that when Patty Jenkins was given full helm over Wonder Woman, she sucked so hard that forget other studios, but DC itself doesn't want her.

So did Cavill name the jew or something with the way they're just discarding him out of the blue?

based, Patty Jenkins understands that man's world must be cleansed by nuclear fire

I expect Aquaman (outside Heard), Blue Beetle, Pacemaker and Shazam to not have any cast changes as long as the movies planned for next year don't flop. Peter Safran who is now co-chairperson and CEO of DC Studios was the producer of them pre-getting this new job, so can't see a way these movies/shows don't mostly line up with the new plan.

As for other casts members, my guesses are.
The whole Superman cast is gone. I could maybe see Laurence Fishburne, Kevin Costner and Diane Lane coming back if they plan to use Flashpoint as the story reason for reboots.
Gal Gadot, I'm 50/50 on here going. She isn't good in the role however she is going to be in Shazam 2 and has had a big push in Hollywood. If she goes it will be due to her upcoming $20million pay day for Wonder Woman 3 or her age rather than anything else.
Cyborg is gone. Less to do with the actor and more he isn't most interesting character. Already been hinted at something with Mister Terrific in the works, who could easily take other the tec role Cyborg has in the Justice League.
Erza Miller is gone, rest of the Flash cast no idea about. Main question is will the Flash still be Barry Allen or in a recast will they change it to be Wally West.
Suicide Squad cast for both movies I doubt they will change, unless they plan to use the Joker again then I do see a recast. James Gunn could have recast actors in his own SS movie but decided against it, going so far to change Deadshot to Bloodsportto avoid this.
I see them keeping Ben Affleck as Batman but rather than give him his own movie he just has smaller roles in other movies or in the Justice League. It seem they have no control over the new Batman movies and I doubt Matt Reeves will want to merge his movies into this new DCU, so all they can really do is use Ben Affleck or 71 year old Michael Keaton without stepping on the toes of Matt Reeves.
Black Adam is likely gone, could see they maybe throwing another bone to Dwayne Johnson for him to be in Shazam 3 or movie title Shazam vs Black Adam but at a reduced fee. But from what I hear him rejecting a cameo in Shazam 2 may have put an end to that. As for the JS members, I just don't expect to see them again.

He's got the look but I assume they had trouble finding writers who wanted to deal with all the other junk that is a package deal with his Superman. Like Jesse Eisenberg's Lex, who knows Superman's identity, and a menopausal Lois Lane. It's probably just easier to start from scratch.

Same thing as after Superman Returns no one wanted to write a movie about superman and his super son, they keep establishing things that limit story options and lead to writers just not wanting to take the project, Lex knowing Superman's identity is probably an annoying thing to navigate for a writer because it leads to a lot of "well then why doesn't Lex just ______" type situations.

The superhero thing should be slowing down by now anyway, do we really need anymore of these movies. Like at all. Another Superman, another Batman separate from the stand-alone Robert Pattinson Batman.

Between the different Batman projects and the solo Joker thing we're probably going to have three Jokers going, four if Leto continues to play Joker in self-directed TikTok videos.

Honestly, the best Cyborg could hope for is a Teen Titans film. If one were made, I could see Cyborg staying. Sure, it would be weird to drop him to a lower end team, but he honestly would be given more of a place and purpose if they did. I never liked him in the JL as he always felt like DC’s quick way of meeting a diversity quota. He always just seems kinda there in JL media whereas he always seemed to be more fleshed out when working with the Titans or even Doom Patrol. He seems less like a plank of wood when interacting with those casts.

I cannot really foresee this given that Gunn just canceled Batman Beyond. With that and Batgirl off the table, the Batman limited role film seems to be getting limited. At best, he could appear in a potential Robin film/Titans, but DC seems to be against doing anything with Robin regardless of how incredibly popular Grayson is, and how he is the ultimate magnet for attracting females to these movies. No, really, there is a big female following for Titans characters. My own sister is in love with these characters. DC is just sitting on a goldmine of Tumblr money yet does jack shit with the Titans on the big screen.

So, why exactly is the Rock so against Shazam? Black Adam is literally a Shazam villain. The two should clash given that Black Adam was designed for that.

Ego, he wants to fight the most powerful guy in DC so Superman. He treats acting like wrestling, were once you get to the top you don't lose to anyone as it lowers your worth in the business.

I dunno why everyone seems to think that a reboot requires a full recast. Normies honestly do not care about that shit. The X-men movies are an absolute garbage fire in terms of continuity, retcons and selectively recast characters and they were still very successful and popular despite that.

X2, Days of Future's Past and Logan were good.

The first film was good, but it's definitely showing its age
The first X-Men screams early-2000s for sure. It was trying to capitalize the mid-90s/mid-00s edgy black suit trend (a la Dark City, Blade, The Matrix, Fight Club, Equilibrium, XXX, first Jolie Tomb Raider, Paul WS' Resident Evil, that live-action Aeon Flux movie, the 90s Spawn movie, etc.). Plus, the effects are very dated.

Sad really. Ezra Miller is pretty much the Chris Chan of Hollywood (and this says a lot really).

All of the cast are getting up in age and they're wanting to set up a 10+ year universe/plan. Gadot and Henry are nearing 40, Mamoa is in his 40's, Affleck is in his 50's, Adams is pushing 50, Miller is a fucking basket case that is fucking everything up every other day and the guy who plays Cyborg seems to have burned a lot of bridges...

Also, the whole thing is a complete fucking dumpster fire on top of all that. Comparing it to the X-Men film franchise isn't really fair, X-Men didn't get that fucked up till the last quarter of its run.

I honestly don't understand why so many people are now surprised or whatever that Gunn wants a fresh start. I thought that was what most thought they should do after Justice League dropped originally.
