Jimbo Gunn has continued to shoot himself in the foot and the new Superman capeshit isn't even out yet. I'm not surprised that the Gunnverse is going to make the Snyderverse look good

yeah it sucks. I want a superman movie. I don't want this overstuffed romcom we're going to get with C-list JLA/JSA rejects taking time away from Clark or the Daily Planet cast so Gunn can flex about using comic characters that people didn't expect to see. It's a waste of time to think about now but when BvS was announced I was pissed we were going there already. Man of Steel emphasized the alien aspect so much I thought at the time they should have done a loose adaptation of Exile with Warworld and Mongul for the sequel, introduce Brainiac in some capacity and then have him come home and the third one could have been Brainiac and introduced some other superheroes because that was happening.

It sucks too as a lifelong DC & Superman sperg a lot of shit I want to see is sort of too late because the MCU beat em to the draw. If they did Superman on Warworld average audiences will go they ripped off Thor 3, and depending on what they do with Brainiac it could come across like Ultron if it's mainly drones and shit. I'd rather we got some deep cut shit like a reworking of conduit or somebody like that. I'm worried were going to get a goofy quirky sort of dumb Clark, who probably hardly throws a punch in the movie, flying around saving cats and shit while Lois and now Gay Jimmy Olsen do all the real superheroics and solve the bad guy plot, and a sequel tease of lex running for office so they can bitch about Trump some more in a movie (which again MCU is going to beat them to that with president red hulk in blacktain america).

I recall liking that comic that was focused on John Stewart where he had to handle random shit on Oa? GL Mosaic I think it was?
But yeah I can def see JS being too real for current year.

I know people would hate it but i always thought turning the Justice league into a Grey's anatomy type show might work. all the 7 have such tragic backstories and upbringing and it would be neat to have them focus less on the power aspect of the heroes and more on their inner struggles.
of himself doing the hover hand.
no thats the correct thing to do now goyim! seriously though the fact the internet went from mocking hoverhands to embracing them is one of the surefire signs society has decayed.

sort of ironic because in the original comics he was a proud ghetto black man, he was the radical lib foil to hal's conservative nature. they really only decided to clean up his character decades later when they introduced other lanterns, then they gave him the "he was an architect" and "his original personality/backstory was him being brainwashed" to truely turn him into a respectable lantern.

You must have really enjoyed that Heroes in Crisis run where they all confess their feelings to a shrink in Big Brother style panels and Harley Quin psychologist saves the day. Right?

I wouldn't worry too much about people saying stuff from Superman "ripped off" the MCU, as long as whoever was in charge of a Superman trilogy/miniseries/ whatever could do it right.

Prefacing by saying I hope this isn't bait, and that using the name of the show where everyone is too busy fucking is kind of the wrong foot to start.

But I sort of get what you mean. Again, if done well, it would do something very different to the capeshit genre. Finding people that will do it justice (And that wont turn it into Batman out-trauma dumping everyone) is the problem.

I always get whiplash when Ihear an origin to Stewart that isn't the JL cartoon. He's just a hardass marine, what you see is what you get kind of dude. I never knew his publication history was so dumb lol
